Arizona Sculpture: 

is a statewide regional juried exhibit of original 3-dimensional art. All sculptural methods are accepted including stone, metal, fiber and mixed media. The goal of the exhibit is to present varied works of 3-dimensional art by Arizona artists.  Open to ARIZONA artists only. 

Timeline:

Exhibition Dates: Friday November 18 - Saturday, December 31, 2022

Application Deadline: Wednesday, October 14th, 2022
Jury Process: Saturday, October 15th - Wednesday, October 19th

Notifications to Artists: Friday, October 21st

Shipped work due: Wednesday, November 9th - Monday, November 14th

Hand Delivered artwork due: Monday, November 14th: 

Opening Reception: Friday, November 18th, 2022, 5-7pm
Pick up of artwork: Monday, January 2 
Shipped work returned: Week of January 9th, 2022

ARTWORK:

No art may be removed from the exhibit prior to the close of the exhibition on 
Saturday, December 31, 2022, including sold art. Work must have been completed within the last 24 months.  Work that has been previously displayed at TCA is not eligible.  All work must be the original creation of the artist.

JUROR: Lee Blackwell

Lee Blackwell is an Arizona sculptor known for his works in copper and steel. Lee was raised in Colorado and moved his metal sculpting business from Las Cruces, NM to Tubac in 1984.  He currently resides in Tubac, AZ and Taos, NM with his wife Joan Vandenbos. He enjoys hiking, backpacking and traveling. Lee is an avid mountain biker and road cyclist. http://leeblackwellstudio.com/

PRESENTATION:

All artwork must be able to be presented either on a pedestal, the gallery floor, or hang from the wall or ceiling. Appropriate hanging or presentation hardware is required.  TCA reserves the right to disqualify any selected entry upon arrival that does not meet the above requirements or is deemed unsuitable for display.

JURY/FEES

Payments are made at the end of the CaFE™ entry process either via credit card online or a check mailed to the art center. 

Jurying will be done on the basis of digital images in a jpg format only. Up to three works may be entered for consideration.

The Member discount codes are entered at checkout.  You must be a current member to use the discount code.  Any submissions by nonmembers taking the member discount will be disqualified from the jurying process without refund. Members receive discounts on fees to all exhibitions as well as discounts in our gift shop and to special events.

SALES:

All work must be for sale. TCA will retain a 40% commission.  Price work accordingly. 

SHIPPING:
Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA.  Unsold work will be shipped back to the artist after close of the exhibition at the artist’s expense.  Artists must provide a barcoded preprinted PREPAID shipping label for the return of their artwork.  Please, no Styrofoam peanuts.
