Juror Hilde Nelson Curatorial Assistant of Contemporary Art, Dallas Museum of Art
Hilde Nelson is the Curatorial Assistant for Contemporary Art at the Dallas Museum of Art. Her work primarily concerns contemporary art at the intersection of memory, belonging, and political visibility. She has contributed to publications and exhibitions for solo presentations of Günther Förg and Jonas Wood, as well as the recent exhibition America Will Be!: Surveying the Contemporary Landscape, an installation of the museum’s permanent contemporary collection. Before joining the DMA in 2018, Nelson held positions at Creative Time in New York; Julius Caesar Gallery in Chicago; and the Williams College Museum of Art in Williamstown, MA, where she curated the exhibition Bodies of Substance and Shadow in 2016. She received her MA in the History of Art from the Williams College Graduate Program in 2017.

2D Eligibility & Medium
- Open to artists 18 years and older residing in the state of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
- Contemporary original 2D work in any media including painting, prints, drawings, photography and digital images.
- 2D work should not exceed a framed size of 48” in the longest dimension.
- All work must be original (no reproductions), produced within the last two years and not previously shown at Artspace111.
- The digital image of the piece submitted must be the piece delivered to Artspace111 if selected by the jury. NO EXCEPTIONS.
3D Eligibility & Medium
- Open to artists 18 years and older residing in the state of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
- Contemporary original 3D work in any media. Please indicate Indoor or Outdoor.
- 3D work intended to hang on a wall cannot exceed 48 x 48". Free standing indoor work cannot exceed 6 feet in any dimension. Free standing outdoor work must come with proper base for installation.
- All work must be original (no reproductions), produced within the last two years and not previously shown at Artspace111.
- The digital image of the piece submitted must be the piece delivered to Artspace111 if selected by the jury. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Awards
Selected artists invited to exhibit at Artspace111 in June 2019.
Cash prizes for special jury awards.
Best In Show - $1,000 prize, and an opportunity to participate in a solo or group exhibition in 2019 - 2020.
Sales
- All pieces will be for sale at Artspace111. The gallery will retain 50% commission on any work sold.
- Price of work should include the commission to the gallery.
Insurance & Liability
- Work will be insured at Artspace111 but not in transit.
- The gallery will not assume responsibility for work improperly framed or poorly packaged for shipping.
- Images of accepted work may be used for promotional purposes and featured in an exhibition marketing material.
Shipping/ Installation Requirements
- 2D and 3D Artists are responsible for shipping work to and from the gallery.
- Shipping instructions will be emailed following the jury process.
- Your work of art should be ready to install and should have hardware installed that will allow for immediate installation by the gallery with no adjustments to the pieces necessary. NO EXCEPTIONS — ARTWORK MUST HAVE HARDWARE INSTALLED FOR IMMEDIATE INSTALLATION.
