Yadkin Arts Council 2022 Juried Exhibition Prospectus

The Yadkin Arts Council, located in the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center at 226 East Main Street in Yadkinville, NC is pleased to announce our 2022 Juried Art Exhibition. This exhibition, to be featured collectively in the Welborn Gallery and Red Wall Gallery, is a celebration of some of the finest creativity in North Carolina. Eligibility for entry is open to 2D and 3D Fine Art artists that are a minimum of 18 years of age and reside in North Carolina. There will be $3,500 in combined prizes awarded to the best artists!

Specifications
- Artist may submit a maximum of two original works of art. If the artist is chosen to exhibit in this show, only one of their two submitted pieces will be selected. Submitted art must not have been shown previously at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center.
- Only original works of art produced within the past three years will be accepted. Categories excluded from entry are photography, commercial prints, and giclee. *Multi-media and post process manipulated photography will be accepted (this will be subject to approval by our committee – please feel free to contact us prior to entry to confirm you will be allowed to enter).
- 2D and 3D works that hang on the wall may not exceed 36” (or up to 40” wide if framed) in width or 48” in height (or up to 52” in height if framed), and must be properly wired for hanging. No saw tooth hangers will be accepted. Any 3D pieces that require a pedestal must be able to be placed on a base that is no bigger than 24”x15”, and any freestanding pieces must not exceed 40” in width, or 72” in height.
- Any entry that does not follow this guideline will be rejected and no refund will be given.
- Any accepted piece that is received and does not follow these specifications, or differs dramatically from the image accepted, will be declined with no exceptions and, no refund will be given
- All Entries must be for sale, and all work must remain hanging until end of show. No early withdrawals.
Entry Fees
All entry fees are non-refundable. $40 – Entry fee covers the option to submit up to two pieces of art per artist. Please note that entering this competition and paying an entry fee does NOT guarantee that your work will be accepted. No refunds will be given. If the artist is chosen to exhibit in this show, only one of their two submitted pieces will be selected.
Sales
The Yadkin Arts Council will retain 25% commission of all sales during this exhibition. Payment from sales will be made to the artist within 30 days after the close of the exhibit.

Submission Checklist
- Read entire prospectus before registering/submission
- Complete the official entry form and follow guidelines for payment located on CAFÉ

- Submit one JPEG image for each entry.
- Include a short artist biography.
- Complete entry must be received by midnight on June 9, 2022
- All entries will be notified by email regardless of whether or not the entry was accepted.
- Accepted works may be hand-delivered or shipped by the artist.
- Remember to include a prepaid return shipping label if you are shipping your art work.
- Each accepted piece of artwork must be labeled with Artist Name, Address, Phone, Email, Title, Medium, and Retail Price (Retail Price should include 25% Yadkin Arts Council commission).
- All pieces must be for sale – no inflated pricing please.
Disclaimer
Not All entries will be chosen to display in this exhibit. No Refunds will be given if your work is not selected. The Yadkin Arts Council reserves the right to refuse any work that does not comply with all specifications or differs greatly from submitted digital images. Your electronically submitted entry form signifies your agreement with the terms and conditions stated herein, including permission to the Yadkin Arts Council to use accepted entries for advertising purposes.
Return of Art
We are very limited on space, so any art not picked up by the deadline will remain the property of the Yadkin Arts Council. Art work that is shipped must include a pre-paid return shipping label. Artist will be notified by email when return shipping has been picked up by the shipping company.
Liability
The Yadkin Arts Council insures all work while on its premises. Artists must provide their own incoming/outgoing shipping insurance. YAC is not responsible for damage due to improper packing or use of faulty construction
