The PAPNM 14th National Juried Members Exhibition is a juried exhibition and sale of original two-dimensional 'en plein air' artworks presented by the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico (PAPNM) and hosted by Wild Sage Gallery from Friday Oct 28th through Thursday, November 10th, 2022.

The opening reception and Awards presentation is Oct 28, 4-6:00 PM at Wild Sage Gallery, Taos.

PAPNM is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization of artists dedicated to preserving and promoting painting 'en plein air' - in the open air or outdoors. Please note all arrangements will follow current New Mexico Department of Health guidelines in place at the time of any in person event.

Application Requirements

Each artist may submit up to 4 images. The first image is $46, each additional image is $10 (non-refundable) paid via CaFÉ (www.callforentry.org).

One artwork may be selected for exhibition from each artist.

Signatures must NOT be visible on entry.

All accepted works must be framed and have hanging wire attached. No zigzag hangers allowed.

Minimum price for artworks is $400. Again, this is decided in conjunction with the gallery.

If artists are having trouble with CaFÉ process, go to the help menu on CaFÉ (www.callforentry.org) for assistance. Artists should check their CaFÉ accounts before 07/18/2022 to verify application status. Upon completion of jury selection, artists will receive notification of acceptance or decline by email.

Jury result notification will be emailed on 8/24/2022. Along with the jury notifications, accepted artists will receive information about delivering their art to the gallery from the Exhibition team

While PAPNM master signature members are welcome to participate, they will not be eligible for awards.

All work must be at least 80% completed en plein air during the last two years. Works painted prior to 09/01/2020, will be withdrawn from jury consideration and shall not be replaced with another entry.

Works must not violate copyright laws. All work must be original concept and painted solely by the entering artist.

Works shown in any previous PAPNM juried member exhibition are not eligible for entry.

Works previously showcased in PAPNM on-line contests are eligible for entry.

Works done under the guidance of an instructor are not eligible for entry.

IMAGE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Each artwork entered on CaFÉ (http://www.callforentry.org/ ) must be within size specifications.

Maximum size per piece for framed work is 320 square inches (16”x20”). Note: Maximum framed width is 20”. No exceptions. Any entries which arrive over the size limit will be returned to artist at artist expense.

Works larger than 320 square inches will be withdrawn from jury consideration and shall not be replaced with another entry.

No minimum size.

Eligibility Criteria

This call is for all current PAPNM members working in two-dimensional mediums limited to: oil media (traditional and water-mixable), wet media (acrylic, watercolor, and gouache), and dry media (pastel). Encaustics completed out doors are acceptable. Digital work will not be considered for entry.

PAPNM members of the following levels are eligible for this event: artist members, signature members, master signature members.

Please note: PAPNM Master Signature Members will receive a separate email invitation from the exhibition committee and need not apply through Call For Entry (CaFÉ) nor pay entry fees.
