The sculpture must be original, suitable for outdoor display in adverse weather conditions (high winds, rain, snow, freezing temps and high summer temps):soundly and professionally constructed of durable and safe components and require no maintenance during the display period. The sculpture will be located in a high traffic area and must be appropriate for viewing by an unsupervised audience of all ages. Work must have a strong durable base or mounting plate that can be bolted to a concrete base using "Tapcon" anchors. Artists are responsible for all costs of installation, delivery, installation and removal of piece. Artists must call 515-832-4547 to schedule delivery, installation and placement of piece. Artists must bring their own drills, extension cords and other equipment needed for the installation of their work. Work not appropriate for installation onto the concrete base will be addressed on a case by case basis with the artist and subject to Committee approval. The Arts R Alive in Webster City, IA will promote the exhibit, including events, media releases,brochures. If the artist's piece is sold while on display 20%of the money received from the buyer will be retained by Arts R Alive in Webster City, Iowa.
