Criteria and Specifications

•Sculpture must be suitable for long-term outdoor display

•Sculptures should be as vandal proof as possible and safe to the public

•The sculpture must be considerable in scale as many sites are viewed from a distance

•Sculptures must be capable of being properly secured on a 5 foot diameter concrete pad with additions to base for firm attachment

•Each artist may submit up to 3 sculptures for consideration. 

•Each application must contain only one artwork

•For second and third application, use code "discount15" for entry fee.

•Artists must deliver the work in a timely manner when selected and at the end of the 2 year loan the work must be picked up to receive the final $1,000

Application Requirements

You may submit up to 3 sculptures for consideration.  Please include at least 2 images of each sculpture.  Please label images clearly with the sculpture name.

Please include only one artwork per application. Up to three applications will be accepted.

•Delivery and Return of Selected Artwork: Artists are responsible for the delivery/return of sculptures and all associated costs

•Sculptures may be shipped to the City at the artists’ expense.

•Sculptures must be delivered no later than 30 days of City Council approved art on loan agreement (generally two months after artwork selection).

•Artists must reclaim their sculpture no later than 30 days after end of art on loan term

•Application must be submitted via Cafe

•Open to all artists 18 years of age and older.  

•All must be original work.

Open to all artists 18 years of age and older residing in San Bernardino and Riverside counties in California and artists residing in Ontario, Pomona and Claremont city limits
