ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTIONS: 
The competition is open to all 2D and 3D artists, national and international, working in all forms of painting, drawing, photography, graphics, digital, and sculpture are eligible. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. This is a virtual exhibition and all works will be displayed on the gallery website and promoted through social media channels.

EXHIBITION: 
Selected artists will be featured in a virtual group exhibition online on the Verum Ultimum Art Gallery website; additionally works will be displayed in a gallery setting (with works appearing in scale) in Verum's virtual gallery platform. Artists will also be featured through online blogposts. Social media attention and promotion will remain on this exhibition for a minimum of 6 weeks.

EXTRA DETAILS

Verum Ultimum Art Gallery invites artists to explore the theme, STRATA and enter work that is any interpretation of the call. Please note this exhibition will be ONLINE ONLY.

Strata refers to layers. The layers can be inferred as literal (in the material usage or striated apperance) or symbolic (as in layers of meaning and complexity). How is layering expressed through your work? Does your work reflect the layered aspects of our pandemic impacted world? Does your work represent the complexity of current world traumas & socioeconomic striations? Or perhaps layering is an aspect of your process to achieve expression & beauty? As with all Verum's calls for art, the curator never seeks to drive the work, the hope is to unveil unique visions. All mediums and modes of expression are welcome. The term Strata may be interpreted in many ways, not necessarily meant to be a literal elucidation. Verum Ultimum Gallery tasks artists to define “STRATA” for this first edition of this exhibition.

Selected artists will be featured in a virtual group exhibition online on the Verum Ultimum Art Gallery website; additionally works will be displayed in a gallery setting (with works appearing in scale) in Verum's virtual gallery platform. 

The website remains comprehensive and exhibitions remain on the website beyond the exhibition dates

An exhibition book will be produced and will remain in the Verum Ultimum library to be shared with visitors for years to come.

Social media attention will be focused on this exhibition for 5 weeks.

Verum Ultimum enjoys a monthly reach of 8-14K through its website, google, and social media channels.

ENTRY FEES: 
There is a $20.00 entry fee for 2 images entered
($5 for any entries over 2, not required) ; presentation is by digital JPG image files. 
Details of artwork count as an additional artwork. 
Payments by credit card at time of entry through Cafe 

IMAGE USE / COPYRIGHTS: 
Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. Digital images submitted with artist entry are for exhibition selection only and will be deleted after completion of the selection process. By entering the competition, artists selected to exhibit grant Verum Ultimum Gallery rights to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the gallery web site for promotional purposes only. Verum Ultimum retain no copyrights to artists work. 

NOTIFICATION: 
Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than 30 days after the deadline. Notification will be made via email. All artists who provide a working email address will be notified via email.  Type your email address clearly, if a mistake is made you will not be notified. 

PRIVACY POLICY: 
Artist contact information (address, telephone, etc.) is only held for the purpose of contacting selected artists and is not preserved in any database. Entry data and image files are deleted on the completion of the jury process. 

DEADLINE: 
The entry deadline is May 8, 2022.  Entries must be submitted via Café by this date.
