The show runs from Friday, July 1, 2022, through Sunday, July 24, 2022, at the Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Dr., Richardson, TX 75082. The awards reception is scheduled for Friday, July 8 at 7:00 p.m.

Awards
The 2-D (Two-Dimensional Artworks, Objective), 2-D (Two-Dimensional Artworks, Non-Objective), 3-D, and Photography categories will each be awarded a first place ($500), second place ($300), and third place ($150) award and a certificate. Best of Show will receive a $1,000 prize and a certificate. Three certificates of Merit ($50 each) will also be given to three finalists in each art genre category.

Jurors
Marilyn Waligore, Professor, Visual and Performing Arts / Photography, directs the photography program at the University of Texas at Dallas. She received an MFA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and undergraduate degrees in Art and in English from the University of California-Berkeley. She has exhibited internationally., Professor, Visual and Performing Arts / Photography, directs the photography program at the University of Texas at Dallas. She received an MFA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and undergraduate degrees in Art and in English from the University of California-Berkeley. She has exhibited internationally.

Bart Forbes is an American painter and illustrator. He has worked for most of the popular magazines, amongst them TimeSports IllustratedLadies' Home JournalMcCall's, and Golf Digest, as well as a broad selection of corporate clients. He is currently painting commissioned work along with landscape paintings for sale in galleries.

Marty Ray is Professor Emerita of Art from North Lake College teaching 50+ years including a year in Tokyo, Japan. She was named Outstanding Professor of the Year at North Lake as well as Dallas County Colleges. Marty is co-founder of the White Rock Lake Artists’ Studio Tour and EASL. She works in her home studio and Goldmark Cultural Center, serving on the Gallery Committee. She has created many commissions that honor visionaries in the arts. Her work is shown at Craighead Green Gallery and featured at the Carpenter Ranch DART Station in Irving. Her work as artist and active volunteer within the community continues.

ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS

Size Requirements
Maximum dimensions of 3-D entries selected for the show must be able to fit through a standard doorway and the maximum weight is 200 pounds. All 2-D entries must not exceed 54” in width (including frame). (Please contact PAA at adminexec@planoartassociation.org if you have an exception to discuss.)

Hanging
All wall-hanging works must be outfitted with D-rings, ready to hang. The gallery is unable to accept or hang works not so equipped; in other words, NO WIRE OR SAW TOOTH HANGERS will work. Each piece must be labeled with the name of the artist, title of the work, size, medium and price adhered to the back of the piece.  For insurance purposes, state the value of your exhibited work whether or not it is for sale.

Open to all artists living within 125 miles of Plano.

FEE DETAILS

For PAA Members, the entry fee is discounted 25% from the standard $40 fee with a coupon code, which applies to the entry fee and for the first work you enter. The same 25% discounted rate is available to PAA members via the coupon code when applied to the second and third work you enter. Remember — members must enter the coupon code with each entry submitted. The coupon code was emailed to all members . If you are a member and did not receive the code, contact our show administrator to get the code at adminexec@planoartassociation.org before submitting your entries.

For Non-PAA Members, the 125 SHOW 2022 entry fee is $40.00, which includes the 1st entry. The cost of the 2nd and 3rd entries (if any) is also $40.00 each.

If you are not a current member and you wish to get the discount, you may join online at www.planoartassociation.org/join and then you will immediately receive your discount code on a temporary membership card. So, please join before submitting your entries and enjoy the 25% discount.

NOTICES

Sales 
If your exhibited work is available for sale, state the price of each work.  All sales from this show will be handled through the Plano Art Association, and a commission of 30% will be retained by the Plano Art Association. The cost and arrangements for the shipment, delivery, or pick up of any work sold during the show is the sole responsibility of the artist. 

Shipping and Handling
The Plano Art Association does not handle shipping or pay shipping expenses, either of works to be delivered to the show or sold or unsold works to be picked up after the show has officially ended. NO COMMERCIAL THIRD PARTY SHIPMENTS OR DELIVERIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Please contact PAA at adminexec@planoartassociation.org if you cannot pick up your artwork yourself and need to arrange for someone else to pick it up for you. You must notify PAA in writing (an email is acceptable) to inform us to whom we should release the art.

Shipment, delivery, or pick up of any work sold at or during the show will be the sole responsibility of the artist.

MISCELLANEOUS 
Submitted artwork must be original and not entered in a previous 125 Show. All work that is selected and hung in the show must remain in the exhibit until the exhibit ends and art is scheduled to be picked up. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Because Eisemann Center is a family-friendly venue, we will not be accepting works that include nude figurative subject matter.

Works must not be copies of another artist's work (including photographs). 

PAA reserves the right to reject any work not meeting eligibility requirements or not deemed appropriate to hang in the gallery, even after the image has been accepted by jurors and delivered to the gallery.
