THEME

Our summer exhibition this year is a celebration of the season. The warm weather, live music, the trips to the ice cream shop, the long evenings, the cookouts, the giggling children, your toes in the grass… All of which we will be staging INSIDE the Cultural Center.

With "Outside In, Upside Down," we plan to turn summer on its artistic head! And our summer call for art is no exception. Traditionally, we love our art on the walls, but we are rewriting the exhibition rule book this summer.

The whole exhibition will hang from the ceiling of our Great Hall gallery. Visitors will be able to enjoy the work by walking through our inside lawn – or relaxing on our painted Adirondak chairs or laying back on a giant beach towel! Guests will kick back and soak up art and sculpture hanging from the "sky!"

Think positive, optimistic, bright,  happy – all things that make us feel good, strong, and "uplifted."

The theme is open; keep it family-friendly, please. And remember, it needs to be able to hang from the ceiling. So submissions need to be lightweight: canvases, paper, sculptures, paper art, and photography are welcome. No frames, glass, or heavy works.
