​Crooked Tree Arts Center, in Petoskey, Michigan, is now accepting submissions for the exhibition Work: Juried Exhibition of Functional Art.

U.S. artists working across the nation are invited to submit original works of art for the juried exhibition: Work: Juried Exhibition of Functional Art. Form and function are considerations that guide many design, craft, and art practices. This call for entry invites artists whose work explore the intersections of aesthetics and functionality. Work must have been completed in the past five years. All media are eligible. Creative and experimental approaches to the theme are welcome.

This opportunity is open to US artists 18 and older working in all media. Work must be original in design and construction.

$1000 in prizes will be awarded.
Applicant Calendar:
The exhibition will be on display in Petoskey’s Bonfield Gallery, September 17 to November 5, 2022
Submit entries online: June 10 - July 22, 2022
Notification will be sent by Friday, August 5, 2022.
The artist is responsible for transporting work to and from Crooked Tree Arts Center (Petoskey), either through shipping or in-person drop-off and pick-up.
Work must be delivered to Crooked Tree Arts Center (Petoskey) between September 3 - 10, 2022, during posted CTAC gallery hours.
If shipping artwork, the artwork must arrive with a return shipping label.
Unsold artwork must be picked up during gallery hours on November 8 - 12, 2022, or by appointment.
Works delivered (with return shipping arrangements) will be sent by November 14, 2022. 

​Eligibility
This opportunity is open to United States residents, 18 years and older, who in the United States. Works must be original works of art. All media are eligible. Work must explore both form and function.

Awards
$1000 in prizes will be awarded. Three cash prizes will be awarded: First Place $500, Second Place $300, Third Place $200.

Must meet CaFE image format requirements.

Terms and Conditions:
The call is open to U.S. residents residing in the United States, 18 years and older.
Submissions must be original works created by the artist submitting the work.
Artists may submit up to six entries, three are included with the entry fee; additional submissions may be added for an additional fee.
Works must not have been previously exhibited at Crooked Tree Arts Center-Petoskey.
Crooked Tree Arts Center galleries are sales galleries, and works can be for sale. Price is set by the artist. Crooked Tree Arts Center will retain a 40% commission on all sales. Works do not have to be for sale.
A non-refundable fee of $35.00 per artist is required for 3 entries (CTAC members $20.00, Guild Members may enter for free). An additional three entries may be submitted for $5 per entry. If you are a current Artist Guild Member of Crooked Tree Arts Center, you will receive an email with your code. Accepted work may NOT be removed until after the close of the show.
Work not picked up by specified pick-up dates becomes property of Crooked Tree Arts Center unless prior arrangement has been made with Crooked Tree Arts Center staff. The artist forfeits any claim to the work and Crooked Tree Arts Center cannot be held responsible for any method of disposal arising from forfeiture.
By submitting work to this exhibition opportunity, the artist agrees to all terms and conditions described in the exhibition prospectus.
