The Dallas Arboretum will be hosting an exhibition called The Artistry of Faith and Culture from November 9, 2022 to December 31, 2022. TJAA will be an integral part of this collaboration, exhibiting diverse faiths and cultures specifically relating to Hanukkah and the Jewish Sabbath.
The Call for Entry for artwork, musical audio files, heirloom items will include 3D, 2D, Judaica art, and textiles: table linens, embroidery, challah covers, kiddush cups, Shabbat candlesticks, glass artifacts, menorahs (small and large scale i.e. 6 foot), dreidels, tapestry (small and large scale i.e. 6 foot). The items can be heirlooms, textiles, 3 D art, or 2D artwork passed down to family members and placed on display. If there is a story, family name, or anecdote attached to them, it can be accessed and read via a QR code displayed near the item. The Call includes items that do not have to be created by you personally, but are high caliber exhibit-worthy.
TJAA is excited to premier this juried art exhibition and sale, which is housed in the beautiful DeGolyer home on the grounds of the Dallas Arboretum. The exhibition is open to all artists and collectors 18 years and older who reside in Texas. The non-refundable entry fee, for a maximum of five pieces is:
$35 for non-members of Texas Jewish Arts Association

Application Requirements

• Locations: Dallas Arboretum: DeGolyer Estate
• Selection: Artwork will be curated by the Dallas Arboretum and chosen based on:
• The submitted artwork fitting the allotted spaces .
• Other criteria that the Dallas Arboretum may choose at its sole discretion.
Artwork Restrictions: The Dallas Arboretum reserves the right to refuse any work. Artwork cannot display any nudity or profanity.
• Works for Sale: This is a sales opportunity but all work does not have to be for sale. Sales are to be conducted directly between artist and buyer. All sale proceeds go to the artist. Neither the Dallas Arboretum nor other organizations will receive a commission.
• Load-in and Load-out: Each artist is responsible for art work delivery and pick up at the Dallas Arboretum, 8525 Garland Road, Dallas, Texas 75218, on the given dates.

Failure to do so may result in being barred from entering future exhibitions and/or a $50 daily storage fee. Artwork not picked up after 30 days will be considered abandoned and may be disposed of at the Dallas Arboretum’s or the respective group’s sole discretion.
• Sold Artwork: Each artist is responsible for delivering sold artwork to purchaser. All works. Must be displayed for the entire show, even if sold during it.

• Dimensions: . Works must be on gallery frame canvas or or framed regular canvas and wired for hanging (no sawtooth hooks!)
• Weight: 30 lbs maximum (also case by case basis on larger weighted items)
• 3-D: Dimensions: Work(s) must fit dimensions for the available pedestals: 2 ‘ x 3 ‘ base . There is some space for larger works, but
