JURORS:

Natalie Featherston is a contemporary realist painter specializing in trompe l’oeil- a French term meaning “to fool the eye”. The Chicago Sun Times has described her paintings as, “Artful beyond just illusion and trickery, they are truly masterful still lifes made with both craft and wit.” Ms. Featherston’s paintings have received numerous awards from some of the most distinguished art organizations in the country, including the Salmagundi Club and the Catherine Lorillard Wolf Club. Her paintings have appeared in The Artist’s Magazine, American Art Collector, Southwest Art, and Fine Art Connoisseur to name but a few of the publications that have featured her work. Ms. Featherston is represented by fine art galleries across the country, and her paintings are sought after by notable collectors including Toni Morrison, Danielle Steele, J.J. Abrams, and Alice Cooper.

Mim Brooks Fawcett joined the Attleboro Arts Museum as Executive Director and Chief Curator in 2006. Since that time Ms. Fawcett has worked to provide a range of exhibitions and arts programs that support promising and professional artists. She encourages visitors to explore the wonders and challenges of art through classes, gallery talks, and workshops designed to stretch creative thinking.

A great proponent of public art, Ms. Fawcett is working in collaboration with the City of Attleboro to develop creative and accessible spaces throughout the city’s streetscapes. She has had the honor of serving as juror for the Blanche Ames National Art Exhibition, the Cape Cod Museum’s Debut National Juried Exhibition, South Shore Arts Center Annual Arts Festival of Cohasset, MA, the Galatea Fine Art New England Collective, the Pawtucket Foundation Prize Juried Exhibition, as well as other visual art exhibitions throughout New England.
