ATB 14: New Dimensions - May 12 - July 20, 2023

Since 1996, American Tapestry Alliance (ATA) has sponsored a biennial, juried exhibition. ATA invites submissions from tapestry artists around the world. The intention of this show is to include not only artists who work within more traditional definitions of tapestry but also those artists whose work expands upon the core principles of the medium as it explores new techniques and processes. This year, ATA will provide a monetary award that recognizes experimentation of materiality and dimensionality within tapestry weaving, in addition to the current Teitelbaum awards. Entries should consist of handwoven/manipulated forms that are approximately 80% weft-faced dominant. ATB 14: New Dimensions will take place from May thru June of 2023 at the Appalachian Center for Crafts. ATA will produce a catalog of the exhibit.
