This winter View Center For Arts and Culture in the Adirondacks is holding several themed exhibitions exploring the beauty and unique qualities of plants, trees, leaves, roots, and fungi. The beauty and diversity of the Adirondacks may be hidden under the snow but View wants to invite the public to an exuberant group of exhibits to remind us of the beneficial and uplifting qualities of nature year-round.

View is inviting you to submit your Botanical Art and Illustration to The Art & Science of Botanical Illustration. This will be a separate juried exhibit offered in conjunction with the juried Flowers, Trees & Roots:  The Wild World of Plants and the wood sculptures of Jack Elliot. We seek botanical art and illustration of plants or fungi depicted accurately, reflecting an intimate knowledge and understanding and meeting a high aesthetic standard.

The exhibition is open to all artists working in the Botanical art and illustration style.

Mediums: watercolor, colored pencil, ink and graphite are accepted
Size: maximum 38” in any direction
- All work must be framed in a simple frame to emphasize the artwork. Must be ready to hang·         --Entry fee of $35.00 allows 3 images entered. $5.00 for each additional to a maximum of 5 entries

Submitting a work of art to this exhibition the artist agrees to the conditions and terms set forth in this Prospectus as well as in the Acceptance Notification Letter.

CaFÉ does not permit any image changes, replacements, or refunds after submission.

Please check your pricing carefully, price changes are not permitted after entry in CaFÉ. If your work is not for sale, make sure to list that where required in your application. By submitting your pricing through CaFÉ, you agree to sell that work at the price submitted.

Eligibility Criteria

- All media accepted.
-All work must be able to be moved/placed by one person.
- All entries must be of original design and personal execution created within the past 2 years.
- Artwork previously shown at View is not eligible.
