PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The outdoor mural is one element of the Tale Trail Project. The Tale Trail Project is a collaboration between the City of Keller’s Public Arts Board, the Parks and Recreation and Library Departments. This project is aimed at providing an educational activity that will create opportunities for families to spend time together in an outdoor setting and provide early learning that is self-directed, experimental, and content rich. To
accomplish this, the City will install a “tale trail”, which involves placing 20 plaques that will contain pages from a children’s story along a popular walking route in Keller. Other elements include colorful thermoplastic coating for the walking path, whimsical sculptures, seating areas, and ornamental greenery. The mural will be the terminus of the trail and will serve as a gathering space. This project is anticipated to begin in early
2023. The City of Keller will provide a 4”x6” plaque for the mural to include artwork title, artist name and year of installation.
