Welcome to the 11th annual Palestine ArtTracks Sculpture Show and thank you for being involved in the arts in Palestine, TX. Dogwood Arts Council, Inc, a non profit corporation is administrator of the show, is enlivening the arts in Palestine, Tx and we are glad you are a participant. ArtTracks is an outdoor juried exhibit of work viewable by pedestrian and vehicular traffic installed on private property throughout downtown Palestine. Art enthusiasts from Texas area attend the event and we project continued growth each year. 

The stipend for this two year period is $1200 per sculpture, plus the opportunity for cash awards. Peoples Choice awards: 1st place-$500, 2nd place-$350, and 3rd place-$150. 

Up to 10 artists are selected each year for a 2 year placement. Artists are encouraged to submit work for consideration each year even if they have a piece placed. 

Application Requirements

Sculptures must be appropriate for outdoor placement. Consideration should include, but not limited to scale, presentation, and public safety. Seeking art 6' or taller that is appropriate for outdoor placement and safe for public and private rights of way. 

Artists must submit a minimum of 3 images of each sculpture for review. Multiple entries are allowed via Cafe. $35.00 entry fee per piece.

Images should include the following: Front view, back view, view of base, and artists' choice. . Up to 8 images are allowed. 

Images will determine where the artist's sculpture will be placed for the exhibit. 

Include mounting description and installation instructions. 

All images will be retained by the Dogwood Arts Council, Inc and may be used for promotion of the event. 

Eligibility Criteria

Only artists displaying their own original works are eligible to participate. 

Artists are selected by the Dogwood Arts Council (DAC) Board. 

Committee approved artists will be paired with a location on private property in the downtown area.
