The inaugural Between 2 Rivers Artist Trail will be held on Saturday, August 19th with artist studios open for visitors. Each tour stop will also host guest artists; all participants will be chosen through a juried process.

The intent of this event is to introduce the public to Fayette County and the artistic talent that surrounds us. The public is encouraged to move from site to site, experiencing a variety of working artist studios, meet the makers, and purchase directly from them. No fees are being charged for this inaugural year and artists retain 100% of the proceeds from their sales. Artists and the public benefit from open studio tours as they spark meaningful interactions, inspire creativity, forge connections, and highlight Fayette County’s robust arts community.

All hosting studio sites must be located in Fayette County. Applications from guest artists are welcomed from residents of Greene, Fayette, Somerset, Washington, and Westmoreland counties in Pennsylvania; Monongalia and Preston counties in West Virginia; and Garrett County, Maryland. If you are accepted and are not located in Fayette County, you will be assigned to exhibit at a Fayette County artist site.

Notifications of acceptance will go out in April.

Application Requirements

Artists must submit a bio as well as 3-5 images of their work. Images must represent what will be exhibited.

If you are applying as a host site, please upload one additional image of your studio. We reserve the right to also use this image for promotional materials.

Eligibility Criteria

Submissions are open to all artists 18yrs and older within the defined geographic region.
