CONTEST GUIDELINES:
● $35 application fee
● Digital portfolio of 7 to 9 representative works required to be uploaded on callforentry.org
All portfolio works must be dated 2017 or later. One of these 7-9 pieces will be noted as the artist’s single “Entry Piece”
MUST BE IN SQUARE FORMAT and a minimum of 22" X 22" (no limit on size beyond 22X22)...the entry piece MUST be clearly stated as such. The rest of the portfolio works do not need to adhere to this form because they are a representative of your current work. Again, the contest piece you are submitting for the contest MUST BE a minimum of 22x22 and in SQUARE FORMAT. The labels on the bottles are square and we want to have your winning piece 100% fully represented on the bottle.
● Submissions to be considered by the jury MUST BE AN ORIGINAL WORK, ready to hang (no metal frames), 2D, square format with a minimum dimension of 22” X 22”.
Make sure to indicate the file name clearly for the ONE piece that you would like the JURY, (i.e. - JURY.jpg). **We will have to disqualify art if we can not clearly understand which is your entry piece for the contest.
● Digital portfolios will be evaluated by a jury, which includes:
○ Rachel Clifton - Assistant Director Wyoming Arts Council
○ Chas Marsh - Partner/Owner of Jackson Hole Still Works
○ Travis Goodman – Partner/Owner of Jackson Hole Still Works
○ Katy Ann Fox – 2015 Spirit of Wyoming winner
○ Bria Hammock - 2021/22 Spirit of Wyoming winner
● The jury will use the following criteria:
○ Artistic excellence and workmanship
○ Appropriateness of theme
○ Appropriateness for intended use on label and ability to be reduced (2D square format 3.5” X 3.5”)
○ Appearance through a full vodka bottle (almost all successful participants in the past have peeled the back label off of a Jackson Hole Still Works Vodka bottle to understand a more realistic representation of the art through the bottle).
● Applicants are encouraged to tell us a little bit about themselves as well as a brief background story behind the entry piece. (learning about you and your story is one of our favorite elements of the contest).
● The grand prize winning artwork, including the frame, title and copyright, will become the property of Jackson Hole Still Works. The winning piece will be raffled by Jackson Hole Still Works to benefit the Wyoming Arts Council.

TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL ENTRY:
● The winning artwork will be reduced to fit on a Jackson Hole Still Works Vodka label. Minimal cropping may occur. The label ratio is 3.5” X 3.5', please keep this in mind.
● The artist should strongly consider how a printed label sized image projects through a bottle of Still Works Vodka. (Hint: Vodka refracts/magnifies light differently than water)
● Contrast is important!
