This annual show is the most anticipated of the year. As the name suggests, this exhibition features pieces created by artists working in a wide variety of media from all over the 65,000 square miles that make up Florida. The juried entries come together for an award-winning and exciting exhibition representing today’s contemporary Florida artists.

Only original artwork will be accepted. Categories are, painting (including oil, acrylic, collage, watercolor and mixed media), drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, metalsmithing, glass, digital media, video, printmaking, fiber or textiles.  An entry consists of 1 to 3 artworks. 

Non-refundable Entry Fee is $20.00 for one entry and $35.00 for 2 or 3 entries for Alliance for the Arts members – $25.00 for one entry and $45.00 for 2 or 3 entries for nonmembers. Alliance for the Arts memberships are $55.00 and are good for one year.

Awards include $1,000 cash for Best In Show, a 2nd Place gift certificate, $100 cash for 3rd place and Jurors Choice Award(s) of Alliance for the Arts membership(s).

About the Juror:

Grace Gdaniec is a south Florida based artist, curator, and arts programmer. With a highly creative and artistic background, she has made sure that art has been a part of her life in many capacities.

Grace has been curating contemporary art exhibitions, developing arts educational programming, and supporting artist studios since 2015. Grace is currently the Manager of Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach, a project of the Delray Beach CRA. At Arts Warehouse she is lead curator and works to support the resident studio artists during their residency. Before joining the team at Arts Warehouse, Grace was the Gallery Coordinator, and Director of Programming of Bailey Contemporary Arts in Pompano Beach, FL. Grace holds a BA in Studio Art from Stetson University.

All entries must be submitted online no later than January 24. No materials will be accepted at the Alliance. Upload digital images of artwork in JPG or PNG format. File size limit is 5MB. Please name files as follows: ARTIST- NAME-TITLE-MEDIUM-DIMENSIONS.JPG

LIABILITY

If artwork is juried in, artists are responsible for all shipping costs. Every effort will be made to handle with care, including protection from loss. Alliance for the Arts will not be liable for loss or damage caused or occurring while work is exhibited or during shipping. Submission of any artwork constitutes an agreement to all conditions of this entry form, including schedule and permission to photograph for publicity purposes. Submission through this portal signifies an agreement to these terms.

SALES

All submitted works selected for inclusion and display during this exhibition must be offered for sale to the public at a labeled price set by the artist. Entries submitted not for sale will be rejected. A 40% commission will be retained by the Alliance for the Arts on all work sold during the exhibition.

Eligibility Criteria

ELIGIBILITY

Open to all artists residing in Florida. Only original artwork will be accepted.  No Giclee. All accepted 2D artwork must be wired and ready to hang and not exceed six feet in any direction. All 3D artwork must not exceed six feet in any direction or 150 lbs. All artwork must have been completed in the last two years and not previously shown at the Alliance. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs.
