Over $5,000 in cash and merchandise for this exhibition.  Cash awards are:

                        1st Place - $1,000       2nd Place - $750            3rd Place - $500

Waterworks Online is open to all CURRENT NWWS members. You must be a current member or become a member of NWWS at www.nwws.org prior to entering the exhibition. Dues are $45/yr.

CONDITIONS & RULES

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:  Failure to meet ANY of conditions 1 through 9 will result in disqualification of your entry and will also result in ineligibility to enter future NWWS exhibitions for two (2) years AFTER the close of this exhibition. NWWS reserves the right to refuse any painting that does not meet the criteria below:

1.      AGE – Artists must be 18 years or older.

2.      ORIGINALITY – All entries must be original works of art, painted only by you, and not produced in a class or workshop. Photo reference material must not have been taken by anyone other than you, the entrant. Photo references NOT allowed include purchased images, permission-granted photos taken by others, stock photos, or copyrighted images either published or unpublished.

3.      SUBSTITUTIONS – Artists may not substitute another work for an accepted work for any reason.

4.      WITHHOLDING – Artists notified of acceptance may not withhold their work for any reason. (Please note this if you enter the same work in another exhibition.)

5.      CURRENT WORK – All artwork must have been completed after January 1, 2021 and NOT ACCEPTED into any previous NWWS juried exhibition.                                         

6.      SUBJECT MATTER – Nude representations are not allowed.

7.      MEDIA – Entries must be watermedia paintings on any appropriate, archival, 2-dimensional watermedia substrate, natural or synthetic. Acrylics are allowed. Oil, water-soluble oils, and computer-generated art are not allowed. Collage or other media may be used, but watermedia must constitute 80% or more of the work. All collage materials must be original designs executed on watermedia substrates.    

8.      PAINTING SIZE – Original paintings must be a minimum of 7” in any dimension.  

9.      SALES – Entries must be for sale and priced with intent to sell. Once entered, the price of your painting cannot be changed. Artist receives 75% of the sales price, and NWWS receives a 25% commission on paintings sold before the exhibition opens, sold during the exhibition, or sold within 30 days of the close of the exhibition. If your painting sells before the exhibition opens, the sale must be made through NWWS and the 25% commission paid to NWWS. 

ARTWORK PRICING

•       Price your painting(s) WITHOUT framing costs included. Any frame style options and payment for framing costs are to be coordinated between the artist and buyer.

•       Shipping/delivery charges should not be included in the sale price. Shipping/delivery charges and payment arrangements are to be coordinated between the artist and buyer. 

HOW TO ENTER

•       Up to three paintings per artist can be submitted, but only one painting can be accepted into the exhibition.

•       IMAGE REQUIREMENTS:  Please read carefully!
Crop each image to the displayed image area only (no frame, no mat).
Each image must be a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side ! Each image must be a .jpg (or .jpeg). Maximum file size is 5 MB, no larger.

ENTRY FEE

•      FEE:  $30.00 for one entry; $40.00 for two entries; $50.00 for three entries.

•      Payment may be made online during the entry process or a check sent by US mail. Entry fees are non-refundable!

•      Waterworks Online is open to all CURRENT NWWS members. You must be a current member or become a member of NWWS at www.nwws.org prior to entering the exhibition. 

•      Payment by US mail:  Make check payable to NWWS. Include a copy of your CaFÉ confirmation along with your check immediately after entering. New or renewing members may add the $45 membership fee to your entry fee in one check. Download and fill out the PRINTABLE MEMBERSHIP FORM linked on our Join/Renew page and include it with your CaFÉ entry confirmation and check.

•      Your payment must arrive at the NWWS postal box no later than January 31, 2023.
