Maximum of five entries per artist, $15 non-refundable entry fee per artwork submitted.
For 3D Work: we recommend submitting an image as a collage with multiple photos so the juror is able to see different angles of the piece.
Attention: Add all entries before submitting your application. CaFÉ does not allow adding additional or editing entries.

Artist notification: Monday, July 17
Drop off accepted artwork at Wailoa Center: Saturday, July 29, between 10:00am - 12:00pm.
Kona pickup at the Akamai Arts: Friday, July 28, at 10:00am.
Off Island: Work must be received by Friday, July 28. Artists are financially responsible for shipping to and from Wailoa Center. Packages MUST include a prepaid return label as well as a $10 handling fee per artwork. Checks must be made to the Hawaii Island Art Alliance. *Please research shipping costs for the artwork prior to entering.

Juror: Ming Li Jiang
Ming Li Jiang was born in Shanghai, China and graduated from Fine Arts College of Shanghai University where he became an instructor upon graduation. In 1986, he was selected to be one of the jurors for the first Young Artist’s Art Exhibition of Shanghai. He moved to Hawai’i in 1989 and established his own design company Kalama Collection LTD in 2000.
In 2019, Jiang returned to Shanghai for a solo exhibition in the Museum of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts (Shanghai University). He has won numerous awards in the US, including 1st place and Juror's Choice at the Abstract Only! Exhibition at the Wailoa Center and had 2 works purchased by the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts. He had a solo exhibition at the Kahilu Theatre’s Hamakua Gallery in 2022.
Prizes: Monetary prizes to be awarded.
Works are required to be for sale – HIAA will charge 20% commission on all sales.
