Out of the shadows, and into the light. Artists interpret the pride of who they are and their community in this exhibition, "Proud To Be Seen." Artists may consider picturing pride, an examination of what Pride means to them, being seen, a journey to pride, how do artists interpret Pride, the eyes of Pride, and self discovery through Pride.

Artists are encouraged to create and to enter work which is innovative in concept and approach, whether representational or abstract.  Work must have been completed within the last 24 months.  Work that has been previously displayed at TCA is not eligible.  All work must be the original creation of the artist. 
 

This exhibition is in partnership with Bruce Baughman Studio & Gallery in Tubac, AZ. Up to 50 works of art will be selected for a virtual online exhibition hosted on both the Tubac Center of the Arts and Bruce Baughman Studio & Gallery websites. From those 50, selected artworks will be presented at the Bruce Baughman Studio and Gallery. Selected artists will be responsible for delivery/shipping to and from the gallery. Awards will be selected from the gallery works and presented during the opening reception on Friday, May 26th.

Artists must select whether they are applying to the Physical & Virtual exhibition or only the Virtual exhibit.  Please consider the cost of shipping to and from Tubac prior to submitting to the physical exhibit.

Please note, the Opening Reception will be held at Bruce Baughman Studio & Gallery, 19 Tubac Road, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Exhibition Dates – May 26 - July 2, 2023.

Pick Up of Unsold Art and Return Shipping – All art in the physical exhibition at Bruce Baughman Studio & Gallery must be picked up by Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Shipped art will be returned the following week. Please note the shipping instructions below.
 

Awards will be selected from artwork in the live exhibit at Bruce Baughman Studio & Gallery.

ARTWORK AND IMAGES

Entries must be original, entirely the work of the artist, executed within the last 24 months, and cannot have been previously shown at TCA. Giclee reproductions are NOT permitted. Art may NOT be removed from the exhibit prior to the close of the exhibition on Sunday, July 2, 2023.

Artists agree to release the use of images of accepted works to TCA only as a permanent record of the exhibition and only for promotional use related to the exhibition and the art center.

DELIVERY, SHIPPING, & PRESENTATION

All artwork must arrive in a condition ready to professionally display or wired to hang.  If framed, work must be suitably matted, simply framed, and firmly wired. No sawtooth hangers.  TCA reserves the right to disqualify any selected entry upon arrival that does not meet the above requirements or is deemed unsuitable for display.

Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA.  Unsold work will be shipped back to the artist after the close of the exhibition.  Artists must provide a PREPAID barcoded shipping label for the return of their artwork.

SALES:

All work must be for sale. TCA and Bruce Baughman Studio Gallery will share will a 40% commission, on sold work.  Artists will be paid 60% of the sale price. Price work accordingly. 

FEES:

Jurying will be done on the basis of digital images in jpg format.  Up to 3 works may be entered for consideration.  Payments are made at the end of the CaFE™ entry process either via credit card online or a check mailed to the art center.

Live & Virtual Exhibition fees: Nonrefundable entry fee is $35 for the first image, $3 each additional image.  
Virtual exhibit only: Nonrefundable entry fee of $25 for the first image, $3 each additional image. Use $10 discount code: Virtual2023
