The annual Studio Arts Festival is a one-day shopping event highlighting local artisans and crafters. Exhibitors are juried by application, work in a variety of media, and display a high level of expertise in their field. The event is held entirely outdoors adjacent to the Irvine Fine Arts Center in Heritage Community Park, taking place Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is scheduled to take place rain or shine. 

Outdoor spaces are 10 ft. x 10 ft. with a maximum of two pre-approved exhibitors per space. Exhibitors who would like to share a space should submit one application.

Additional information: 

  • Vendors keep 100% of their sales.
  • This opportunity is open to local and regional artists ages 18 and older.
  • Invited exhibitors must agree to pay booth fees, acquire the appropriate licenses, and abide by the rules and terms outlined below.
  • Invited exhibitors are required to bring their own tables, chairs, table covers, and canopies with safety weights. Exhibitors must have the ability to move their items with minimal to no assistance. Because loading and unloading assistance is not guaranteed, exhibitors are encouraged to have a cart in good condition to move their inventory to and from their vehicles.
  • All invited exhibitors must pay their booth fee, acquire necessary City of Irvine business license, and submit their California Resale Number no later than April 7.

Application Requirements

To apply: 

  • Submit 8-11 images or your craft-works in your CAFE application.
  • Include an image of your booth setup in your application. Note: The image if your booth is considered an artwork, as all your craft-work images. No applications will be accepted without a booth image.
    • If you do not have a photo of a booth setup in a prior event, you can submit a staged booth or mockup of a proposed booth setup.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Vendors must be at least 18 yrs. old.
  • All items for sale must be of original artwork produced by the exhibitor. No imports or manufactured goods will be allowed; no crafts with copyrighted imagery will be considered.
  • There is no fee to apply.

Fees 

  • Booth fee of $135 is payable by credit card, cash or check.
  • A convenience fee of $2.50 will be charged for credit transactions and is not refundable.
  • A convenience fee of $1.00 will be charged for check and cash transactions and is not refundable.
  • If paying by check, make check payable to City of Irvine for $136.00.

Licenses 

  • City of Irvine Business License is required of all conducting business on City premises.
    • Residents of the City of Irvine are required to have or obtain an Irvine Business License.
    • Non-Irvine residents can purchase a One-Day Special Event Business License for $15.00 which should be paid by check made to City of Irvine and mailed to Irvine Fine Arts Center. Do not add on an additional convenience fee to the total for this license.
  • Vendors are required to provide proof of having a California Resale Number. Application for a California Department of Tax and Fee Administration Form (download form CDTFA-410-D).
