Call Description

What has your experience been as an AAPI artist? We could tell you all about our experience being an AAPI owned and operated company, but we want to hear from you.

We’re giving you the platform to tell your story during AAPI Heritage Month (and a little more) at our 4000 sqft, two-story space located in the heart of the Lower East Side, NYC, sandwiched between Richard Taittinger and Perrotin.

For this solo exhibition, we really just want to hear from you. Tell us your unique take on being an AAPI artist (i.e. your experiences, what your heritage means to you, a personal story, a community that is meaningful to you) and how your work fits into that picture.

For this application, we are asking that you review the video of our space and propose a way to transform it to tell your story. Please keep in mind this is a two story space; your proposal should capitalize on this (the first floor has significantly more wall space, and the second floor is a more traditional white box space with curtains).

If you live in New York, please stop by to see the space for yourself! We are located at 180 Orchard St, Unit D, New York, NY.

Please submit a full proposal and portfolio to show us your perspective as an AAPI artist. How can our space serve as a microphone for your voice?

Site specific installations are also welcome. For site-specific installations, please include a description of your vision, including visuals and written description of creative direction, fabrication, materials, scale, and timeline. Please be as specific as possible with your vision.

Please note that this is a solo exhibition, with all work for sale. The work will co-exist with the retail portion of the space as well.
