Pour-d is a contemporary gallery in Rockford, Michigan.  We invite you to submit your best work to our 2023  juried Fall Show. Noir will be featured in our main gallery, a space housed in an historic building in the heart of the downtown area. 

In the absence of the colors of the rainbow - contrast, textures, patterns and emotion can become the focus of our work.  In this new Fall show Pour-d would like to invite you to share your creative and striking imagery in black, white and all the shades in between.

EXHIBITION | The Exhibition will run September 5th until November 10th 2023, Featured artists are invited & encouraged to attend the opening reception details to follow. 

CALL FEES | The fee is $20.  All entry fees are non-refundable

CONSIDERATIONS | Entries on or before July 17th 2023 will be considered. 

NOTIFICATIONS | Notifications are generally sent via email within 3 weeks of the call closing.  Artists selected for exhibition will receive a notification of status. 

INVITED STATUS | An Invited status means you will receive an invitation for the show

WAIT LIST STATUS | A Wait List status means we are interested in working with you, but we may not have an immediate place for you. 

COMMISSION | Gallery retains a 30% commission on all exhibition sales in gallery.

SALES | All sales remittances are paid by pour-d. Remittances are sent after the close of exhibition. Payment to Artist will be provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from buyer. 

PRINTS | If invited to participate in the show, we welcome artists to provide prints of their work which will also be made for sale in the gallery.  The standard gallery commission of 30% will also apply to print sales

Application Requirements

SUBMISSIONS | All submissions will be reviewed and considered.  A comprehensive and detailed submission will include at least 1 image, a biography and/or artist statement, artist website link and links to at least 1 social media platform. 

GALLERY REQUIREMENTS | All work must be original, unsold work, & the artist must own the sole copyright to art. Frames, mats & wiring must be professional quality & in good condition. No saw- tooth hangers. Wiring must be securely fashioned & support weight of the artwork. All accepted work must remain for the duration of the exhibit. 2D Artwork selected for exhibition MUST BE READY TO HANG. 

SHIPPING REQUIREMENTS | Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping of artworks. All shipments must include a prepaid UPS OR FED EX return label & be shipped in a container suitable to re-use for return shipping. Work sent through the US Postal Service, must include a shipping label, USPS stamps will not be accepted.  If you live within driving distance of the gallery, we encourage you to deliver your work by hand. If accepted, artists will be notified of delivery dates and information after the call has been closed.

PLEASE NOTE : Any hand delivered work MUST be picked up within the specified time frame given by the gallery.  Any work still at the gallery 3 months after this time will be considered forfeit and the possession of Pour-d. 

Publicity
By submitting a work for inclusion in the exhibition, the artist agrees that the gallery is permitted to use, edit, reproduce, publish, transmit and display images or footage of the artist’s work(s), including those submitted by the artist as part of their entry, in films, video, signage, mailing, programs, online image gallery and other forms of media including social media for the promotion and display of the 2023 exhibition, and other purposes as the gallery may determine. The gallery will not be responsible for the unauthorized use of the images or footage by third parties.

Liability

All entries will be handled with the utmost care and respect. Pour-d Gallery is not liable for artwork during transportation to or from the gallery. Pour-d Gallery reserves the right to refuse coverage to artwork with inherent vices, high values or that is deemed unstable. By entering into this show, the artist agrees to abide by all rules and regulations as set by exhibition guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria

ACCEPTED ARTWORK | All mediums and genres considered. (Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture, Glass, Fiber, Functional, Digital, Photography, Mixed Media and New Genres.) 

All files should be named like so: 01_LASTNAME_ARTWORKTITLE.jpg, 02_LASTNAME_ARTWORKTITLE.jpg.

Still images should be sent as jpegs should be at least 1000px at their widest dimension, not to exceed 4MB per image.

For 2D Work: Artists may submit one JPEG per entry. Images should be cropped to only show the artwork and nothing else. Follow the filename format for works as indicated above.

For 3D Work: 3D artists may submit three JPEGS (one full shot and up to two details) per entry. Follow the filename format for works as indicated above.
