Art on the Wabash

Tapawingo Park, West Lafayette, IN

Presented by The Art Museum of Greater Lafayette

West Lafayette’s Tapawingo Park will be transformed into an open-air art gallery featuring approximately 50 regional artists, with live music, food trucks, beverages, and children’s activities. Thanks to our sponsors, there is no admission charge, and parking will be free in the Wabash Landing Parking Garage. Fair will take place rain or shine.  This will be the 16th Art on the Wabash.

Artists from our region (Benton, Boone, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Pulaski, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Warren, and White Counties) can apply to have booth space, and an independent juror will select those to be in the art fair. Media include ceramics, glass, wood, jewelry, metal, fiber, photography, pastel, acrylic, oil, watercolor, mixed media, and others (if approved).

Jury Information

Art on the Wabash is juried each year by a professional member of the art community outside the 15-county area. Criteria include originality, creativity,  and quality.  Submission of images for jurying shall be understood to indicate an agreement on the part of the entrant with all conditions set forth, including permission for reproduction for marketing purposes. The juror will select Best in Show, 2nd and 3rd place awards, chosen on the day of the fair.

Booth information

Booth size is 10’ x 10’ and the fee is $50 to be paid on acceptance. A limited number of tents are available to rent from the Art Museum for $50. Once accepted, you may inform us of any physical limitations or if you want to display next to a specific artist. We will make every effort to honor requests if possible.

Application Requirements

How to apply

Submit your application on this website.  Please apply only if you reside in one of the 15 Indiana counties listed under the Eligibility requirements.  Include 5 images of your artwork plus one booth shot if available.  Work must be original, made by the artist in the past 5 years, and be for sale.  Reproductions, such as prints, may be offered in bins.  No kits, please.  Artists may apply to the show in more than one medium but must be juried in for each and pay the application fee for each.  Applications will be accepted from March 15-May 31.  Artists will be notified of juror decisions by June 25.

Eligible artists must be 18 or over, residing in the following Indiana counties:  Benton, Boone, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Pulaski, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Warren, or White, or have participated in Art on the Wabash before.
