Englewood Arts (EA) is a newly formed non-profit community art center with 3 major artistic pillars: Performing, Culinary and Visual arts. 

Our newly built and freshly equipped studios promote collaboration with other artists and artistic mediums while continuing the exploration of arts endless possibilities. We offer residents the freedom to develop their artist practice, work on product design and hone their teaching skills in a studio dedicated to the arts, education and community. Englewood Arts is looking for residents in the fields of: 

Glass Blowing
Painting
Fibers
Photography
Murals
Woodworking
Metals 
Neon

We will also consider residents in Ceramics and writing.

EA is focused on bringing the artist community and the general public together in an effort to share knowledge and expand artistic appreciation. Service hours and event participation is expected from each artist. Each resident in every discipline will receive:

Semi private studio space with equipment and private shelving
Stipend
Paid teaching opportunities
Exhibition opportunities

Artists interested in unique production opportunities, community involvement, exploration and experimentation are encouraged to apply.

Limited opportunities for shared living space is available at $500 a month. 

Application Requirements

Artists willing to maintain an active studio presence, participating in Englewood Arts events and excited to teach and learn are perfect for our residency program. 

Please submit: 

  • A written proposal of interest (500 word max, please include details of studio practice, desired projects and how you could utilize a year long residency)
  • Resumé with a short bio (500 word max)
  • 10 digital images of your work (2-5 writing sample or 5000 max word count)
  • Two professional references with contact information (name, phone number, email address, relationship)

Must not be currently in a degree seeking program at the start of the residency. 

Eligibility Criteria

Glass blowing, Neon, Metals- A degree from an accredited university or equivalent preferred.

Woodworking, Photography, Murals, Fiber, Painting- Artists must be able to work independently as well as in a community settings, with familiarity of common equipment and maintenance.
