New Painting

Online Exhibition June 15, 2023 – July 15, 2023

New Painting is looking to represent a wide variety of styles and movements, united by unique and unexpected investigations of surface, depth, color, and form. Whether belonging to a distinct tradition, intermingling genres and techniques to create a work that reinvents the old in light of the new, or striving to form a new visual language altogether, Site:Brooklyn aims to bring together the most exciting work in contemporary painting.

About the Juror:

She has served as curator at No Longer Empty (NLE), a non-profit organization that curated site-responsive and community-centered exhibitions, education, and programs in unique spaces, where she also served as the inaugural director of the NLE Curatorial Lab. Prior, Gugelberger was a curator at Exit Art where she curated the organization’s final exhibition, Every Exit Is an Entrance: 30 Years of Exit Art and co-curated Collective/Performative.
