40th Annual All Colorado Art Show
The City of Greenwood Village’s Curtis Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the 40th Annual All Colorado Art Show. This exhibit is open for submissions from artists in all mediums, currently residing in Colorado. The exhibit takes place from July 8 through August 26, 2023 with an opening reception on Saturday, July 15th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. 

Prospectus
Artists may submit a maximum of two individual works of art for consideration. 

Schedule for 2022
Deadline for entries: May 31 (entries must be received by midnight)
Artist Notification:  June 14
Accepted artwork delivered to Curtis:  June 21- June 30 (M-F 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Sat 10am-4pm)
Exhibit dates:  July 8 - August 26
Exhibit reception:  Saturday, July 15, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. 
Juror's Talk:  TBD

Submission Criteria

• Artwork must be of original design and personal execution, completed within the last two years and not previously shown at the Curtis Center for the Arts.
• Artists may submit either one or two individual pieces of work with a maximum of 6 images (not 6 pieces) in total. This may be any combination of 2D and 3D work (e.g. one 2D piece; two 2D pieces; one 3D piece; two 3D pieces; or one 2D and one 3D piece). If an artist submits more than two individual works, Curtis staff will make the determination of the two pieces that will be submitted to the juror.
• The maximum size for two-dimensional work is 48" x 48" (including frame) and for three-dimensional work a maximum of 300 lbs.  Exceptions allowed for work specifically intended to be unframed.
• Entries must be original art in any forms of media, including photography (jewelry and giclée prints will not be accepted). Printed works for which the artist's hand manipulated the plates, stones or screens and which have been properly signed and numbered as a limited edition will be accepted.
• Artists may upload up a total of 6 images of their work (whether they are submitting one or two pieces). NOTE:  artists submitting more than two individual pieces will have the extra pieces withdrawn by staff.
• Works submitted must be ready for installation upon arrival at the Curtis Center. Any works submitted or delivered that are not deemed ready for installation will be rejected.

NOTE: Artists may provide up to 6 images of their submitted work. Only provide images of the one or two pieces submitted for consideration. This gives the artist the chance to show different perspectives and details of their artwork. Do not submit images of more than two individual pieces. 

Commission
Work must be available for sale. The City of Greenwood Village will retain a 30% commission on sales. Proceeds benefit the Greenwood Village Arts and Humanities Council. 

Juror's Awards
The juror will choose a total of three works for the following awards:
1st place -  $1,000
2nd place - $   500
3rd place -  $   300

About the Juror
Dariya Bryant is the Director of David B. Smith Gallery, where her key responsibilities include managing client, partner and artist relationships, exhibition curation and programming. She loves supporting and mentoring artists, empowering creative people (with a focus on immigrant women) and building a strong and welcoming art community in Colorado.

Dariya holds a Double Bachelor of Art Degree in Studio Art and Languages from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and has also studied Linguistics and Intercultural Communications at the International Slavic Institute, in Moscow, Russia. In her 10 year+ career in the arts, Dariya has worked with a number of art institutions locally including the Denver Art Museum, RiNo Art District, K Contemporary and Walker Fine Art; and has partnered on acquisitions and projects with major art institutions, public and private collections nationally and internationally.  Dariya enjoys helping clients harness inspiration by incorporating art into their daily lives. 

About the Curtis Center for the Arts
Originally built as a one-room schoolhouse in 1914 to serve ten local students, the historic redbrick building is now home to the Curtis Center for the Arts. The Curtis School was formally opened in 1914 with no electricity or running water. The one acre of land the school sat on was originally donated by area resident Mary J. Curtis in 1901. In 1991 the building was dedicated as the Curtis Arts & Humanities Center. Today, the Curtis Center continues to be a learning center for the arts. The Center offers art instruction, rotating visual arts exhibits, lectures and the occasional performance. The Curtis Center for the Arts is owned and operated by the City of Greenwood Village.
