The City of Lone Tree Arts Commission is seeking proposals from Colorado artists for an outdoor, temporary, three-dimensional art installation to be displayed for no more than 45 days at a pre-selected site near the Lone Tree Arts Center between August-September of 2023.

Artwork should be suitable for outdoor public display, weather resistant, pedestrian safe and appropriate for all ages. There should be an interactive component that engages and unites people across all ages, genders, and cultures through a shared experience.  Daytime presence/activation is required, nighttime is encouraged.

Each artist or team may submit up to three ideas.  Please submit a separate proposal with documentation for each separate idea being proposed.

Review and Selection Process:

All submissions will be reviewed by the Lone Tree Arts Commission, assessing compliance with the requirements, technical feasibility, creativity, and overall quality of the work being submitted. The Arts Commission will consider each submission for its ability to enliven the public area and grounds surrounding the Lone Tree Arts Center and its ability to draw people in and provide a welcoming presence.

The Arts Commission will narrow the field down to a group of finalists who will be invited on Wednesday, June 14th between 6pm-7pm to pitch their proposal and a Q&A with the Commissioners.  The selected proposal will be notified on Thursday, June 15th, 2023.  Each finalist will receive a $100 honorarium for pitching their proposal in person.
