This July at Memento Mori Gallery & Tattoo, we are stoked to be featuring local art inspired by pop culture (i.e. comic books, movies, gaming, music) or done in pop art style. And of course, because this is Memento Mori Gallery, we invite the darker side of this subject matter. 

Memento Mori Gallery & Tattoo is located in the 40West Arts District, part of the art walk circuit. We get good foot traffic on First Fridays. First Friday reception will include music & refreshments.

Application Requirements

Local 2D and 3D art inspired by pop culture or done in pop art style, ready to hang or display. $20 entry fee per piece, can submit up to 2 pieces. Artwork must be for sale, with 40% of sale going to gallery. ***LOCAL ARTISTS ONLY and DROP-OFF ONLY*** This is strictly a local show. Notification of acceptance into the show may take place less than a week before drop off, and it is artist's responsibility to be able to provide ready-to-hang artwork in the provided timeframe. Do not expect to have an extra week to get your piece framed. "Ready to Hang" means hanging hardware is already attached - plain canvas without hanging wire is not "ready to hang". We will reject anything not ready to hang at drop off. Hanging wire is always preferred and we will only accept other methods with advance agreement. We will also not accept any photographic work that depicts another artist’s artwork without express permission from the artist to show and sell the photograph; this includes street art.
