Rates for Registration are: $35 for the first entry, $15 for each additional entry, with a total of three entries permitted per artist. Wickford Art Association members in-good-standing will be provided with a 30% Coupon Code by e-mail or phone: (401) 294-6840.

Selection of Work: 

Following the close of the registration period, all submitted works will be reviewed by the exhibit juror anonymously.  This jury for entry will result in the curated exhibit. Submitting work does not guarantee entry.  There are no refunds. Determination of acceptance will be sent by email on August 20, 2023; notification will come from CallForEntry.org directly.  Future communications will be from WAAexhibits@gmail.com.  To prevent these messages from landing in spam/junk mail folders, please program this address in your e-mail contacts.  Emails will be sent to the address listed on your CaFE Artist Profile-- please double check that this information has been accurately entered and updated.

All work presented at WAA must comply with our Exhibit Registration Guidelines, posted online at: https://wickfordart.org/exhibits/. Please review these guidelines to ensure artwork meets the size and preparation for presentation standards of the Wickford Art Association.

Hand Delivery of Accepted Works: 

Accepted work can be hand-delivered to 36 Beach Street, North Kingstown, RI 02852 on Tuesday: October 3 (noon-6pm), Wednesday: October 4, 2023 (noon-3pm).  

Shipment of Accepted Works: 

If shipping work, accepted artists will be provided with a UPS Store address in Rhode Island and work should be scheduled for delivery between September 20 and September 30 at the very latest. 

All shipped work MUST include UPS pre-paid postage for return shipment AND a non-refundable $15 per package handling fee to offset cost of unpacking, repacking and storage. Upon delivery, artists MUST include information on the package itself … the same information provided at the time of registration. This includes:

• Artist Name (as it will appear on title card(s))
• Title of Work
• Medium
• Dimensions of work (height x width x depth-- if applicable)
• Price

Installation is completed by WAA.

Awards: 

Following delivery of accepted works, the jurist will conduct a live judging for prizes. All work must be present to be considered for an award.  Cash prizes will be awarded as follows:

• First Place: $250
• Second Place: $175
• Third Place: $125
• Honorable Mentions (Two provided)

WAA will provide recognition through an email - blast post after the opening reception on October 6. announcing all awards. Targeted social media posts for individual artists receiving awards will accompany images of award-winning work. 

Artists who have been selected to receive an award will be notified by e-mail on Thursday evening: October 5 and are encouraged to attend the opening reception at which time prize details will be revealed.

Opening Reception: An opening reception will be held on Friday: October 6 (5-7pm) with awards announced at 6:00 pm.  Gallery capacity is limited to 75 guests.

Sales: All work entered must be priced and available for purchase.  WAA retains 30% on all sales by its Juried Artist Member and General Artist member exhibitors, 40% on all sales by non-member exhibitors.  

Collection of Work: Work must remain in the gallery for the full duration of the exhibit.  All work should be collected in person on Tuesday: November 7, 2023 (noon-6pm); accommodations can be made for artists with a conflict if prior arrangements are made-- please e-mail WAAexhibits@gmail.com to request an alternate pick-up date/time. 

All shipped work will be returned the week of November 7.  

Liability - Legal Agreement & Participant’s Waiver: Submission of work automatically waives any claim for damage or loss against the participating building and business owners, Wickford Art Association, including the officers, members, employees, agents and volunteers. All participating artists are encouraged to carry personal liability insurance. WAA will exercise reasonable care in handling all artwork but will not assume any liability for loss or damage while in WAA’s possession. Work should be independently insured by the artist.

Usage Rights: The artist retains all copyright interests or claims that they have in their art. By submitting images, you give WAA the right to use and reproduce the images to promote and document the exhibition, and to enable the image to be part of a virtual gallery. Artist’s recognition is provided with any use.
