WELCOME TO THE SCULPTUREONE PARTNER’S NETWORK!

The PARTNER’S NETWORK and satellites provide artists the opportunity to exhibit sculptures in 7 different communities.

For example: An artist could exhibit 4 different sculptures in the 4 programs at the same time.  Or a sculpture could be in Mankato the 1st year, Eau Claire the 2nd year Mason City 3rd year and Webster City the 4th year, or get sold or leased along the way.  In each program sculptors receive $1,000 honorariums for each sculpture, hotel accommodations, compete for awards and the People’s Choice purchase in 3 communities.  Our professional movers move sculptures from program to program.  And then we have the satellite programs where your sculptures would also receive honorariums and have opportunities to sell.

 - If your sculpture was to circulate to every Partner the honorariums would total $4,000.00, add the satellites the total would be $8,000.00.

- The Call to Sculptors for the Satellites will be posted at a later date.

- All Partners and Satellites have organized sales programs

- The Partners have sold 162 sculptures!

RIVER CITY SCULPTURES ON PARADE

Where is “River City”?  It is a fictional town from composer Meredith Willson’s Broadway musical, The Music Man.  But the real River City is Willson’s hometown—Mason City—a community of 28,000 in North Central Iowa with a rich cultural heritage.

This 80-sculpture exhibit is a mix of permanent (55) and rotating sculptures on a 1.7 mile loop through the community’s Cultural Crescent. The Sculptures on Parade exhibit links world-renowned Frank Lloyd Wright Prairie School architecture (the Historic Park Inn Hotel and the Stockman House Museum.  Included with The Music Man complex and the MacNider Art Museum (home to Bil Baird’s marionettes including those from The Sound of Music and several works by Grant Wood—who summered in the area.

The program works hard for participating artists, resulting in the sale or commission of 67 sculptures totaling $975,000 in the past ten years since its inception.

Artists may submit up to five (5) of their own original (in concept, composition, and execution) sculptures.

We welcome all sculptures and values; however, those not willing to accept up to the community’s purchase price for their sculpture will be excluded from the public voting for the People’s Choice Award.  The programs will receive a 25% commission on any sculpture sold today or anytime in the future if the sculpture sale is due to its visibility in any of the Partner Programs.

If a sculpture is a special commissioned work then the commission to the participating program is 10%.

All partners will provide liability and comprehensive insurance coverage on all sculptures.

All sculptures need to be in new condition when delivered to each community, and we highly recommended bronze sculptures be sealed, steel be repainted and have steel plate or steel strips on bottom of sculpture for welding to pedestal plate.
