We live in a rapidly changing world, from technology to our physical environments, it can feel daunting to try to keep up.  For this exhibition, we ask artists to meditate on themes of change through a hopeful lens. Artists are asked to create work that explores ideas of growth, progress, and resilience. Artworks can represent the artist’s personal self-growth or images that relate to growth they see in the world around them. Artworks will feature traditional media such as painting and drawing but alternative approaches to mixed media or fiber arts are also encouraged.

This exhibition is a part of the ongoing partnership between the Alliance for the Arts and Southwest Florida International Airport. Selected artworks will be on display in two of the airport's concourses for a period of 6 months from September 2023-February 2024.

Application Requirements

All entries must be submitted online no later than August 21st at 5pm.                   

No materials will be accepted at the Alliance. Upload digital images here for jurying. 

Eligibility Criteria

Exhibition is open to all Florida residents. 

Medium:  All 2-D mediums will be considered including oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, collage and photography.  Only original artwork will be accepted, no giclee.  All artwork must be at least 18x24 framed but not to exceed 40 inches in any direction. Gallery-wrapped canvas does not need to be framed.

All selected artwork must be wired, ready to hang and delivered to the Alliance labeled with the following information: Artist Name- Title - Medium – Price
