ELIGIBILITY

Note:
Any ineligible work submitted to the show will be withdrawn by the show committee.
Refunds will not be granted to applicants who do not meet the requirements set forth in this agreement.

All artists must be Washington State residents and 18 years of age or older.
Entries must be original and entirely the work of the entrant.
Work must have been done without the supervision of an instructor.

Copies of existing artworks or works solely based on copyrighted artworks are not eligible.
All work submitted must have been completed on or AFTER Jan 1, 2021. Older work will be disqualified.
Check your portfolio dates in CaFE carefully!

As jurying for this show is a blind process, the juror is not given any identifying information about the artists, and makes all decisions solely upon the merits of each work itself.  Any artist who submits work with blatant identifying information or attempts to contact the juror about their entry or for any reason will be deemed ineligible to participate, and their submission(s) withdrawn from the entry process.

NON-REFUNDABLE ENTRY FEE:  $45.00 total, for one to two artworks.

ENTRY METHOD:  Online through CaFE only, at  www.callforentry.org.
You will need to create an account (unless you already have one). It is free.
Populate your CaFE portfolio with images and information as instructed inside your account.
Follow all instructions for each entry.

Entry Conditions:

Categories:

2D Includes painting, drawing, mixed media, and all wall-hanging pieces with less than 4" protrusion from the wall.

Both entries can be in the same category, or each one may be in a different category.
Each entry is allowed ONE image OR video file.  If the artist wishes to supply more than one view of a 3D work, please create and submit a composite image showing more than one view. (or submit a short video file showing all sides of the work.)

A second entry of the same piece WILL BE withdrawn.

All entry images must be of the actual piece in its finished stage.
Artists may not submit a piece “similar to” the one they plan to enter. These will be withdrawn.
Artists may not submit a plan, sketch or unfinished work for consideration. These will be withdrawn.

Collective Visions Gallery reserves the right to refuse to display any entry which does not meet the criteria stated in this prospectus. This includes works juried into the show and upon delivery, do not meet the stated requirements.

All awards will be judged in person from the original works of art.

NOTIFICATION of Invited or Not-Invited Status:
While official notification will be sent via e-mail from Call for Entry (CaFE), acceptance or rejection status (invited or not-invited status) of artwork can also be viewed online on your account at  www.callforentry.org

It the responsibility of the artist to make sure to add CaFE to your email contacts, to make sure your own email account matches the one used in your CaFE account and to check your listed email and CaFE account for status.

Artists may NOT substitute another work for an accepted work, alter an accepted work, or change the sales price after it has been entered or accepted. Once finalized, entries inside of CaFE cannot be changed, so please make sure all information is correct.
However, small adjustments, such as inaccurate dimensions, or incorrect category, should be reported to the Show Committee.
Work submitted in the wrong category will be moved to the correct category at the show committee’s discretion.

Withdrawal of entries by Artist:
The artist may request that their work be withdrawn PRIOR TO THE ENTRY DEADLINE but no refund of the application fee will be granted.

Artists agree to not submit the same piece(s) to any other show until the decisions of the juror are final.

Sale of Art in the Show:
All work must be for sale.
Collective Visions Gallery will retain a 40% commission on all sales.

Sale of Invited Entries prior to the opening of the show:

Artists agree not to sell or withdraw any artwork accepted into the CVG Show prior to the opening of the show. However, artists may contract with a purchaser to acquire the work from the gallery on the opening day of the show, and take possession of the piece after the show closes.
Such artwork will be eligible for all prizes except for Purchase Awards.
