Verum Ultimum Art Gallery invites artists to explore the theme, The Living Mark for its 10th year! Please note this exhibition will be ONLINE ONLY. 

Verum invites artists to explore, "The Living Mark" and enter work that is any interpretation of the call. The intention of the call is not to drive the work, but to spark an impetus, and discover unique visions to showcase.  ALL MEDIUMS are welcome. Mark making is an integral part of the creative process & the evidence of the artist’ hand is paramount.  Successful works seem to be enlivened by these marks (whether abstract or representational).   This call emphasizes the process with a focus on the individual style  (whether impassioned, studied, or subdued).  What kind of marks and/or mediums do you use?  Or perhaps you see the theme as a chance to express art as a metaphor for life itself & our relationship to this driving force? What is your personal interpretation of this metaphoric vehicle, “The Living Mark”?

EXHIBITION DATES
Opening October 2023  and running for a minimum of 5 weeks

EXHIBITION: 
Selected artists will be featured in a virtual group exhibition online on the Verum Ultimum Art Gallery website. This includes an exhibition page and virtual viewing galleries that show the work in scale. Artists will also be featured through online blogposts. Social media attention and promotion will remain on this exhibition for 4 weeks.

EXHIBITION TERMS:
Works in this show may be for sale or artists may elect a new option (a for exhibition only, NFS option). The gallery commission for this virtual exhibition is 30% percent commission on all sales (handled by the gallery). The gallery will provide artists with prepaid shipping labels when their work sells through Verum Ultimum (for the duration of this exhibition).

Benefits to online exhibitions at Verum Ultimum:

A higher percentage of artists will be ACCEPTED! This exhibition is not confined by space.

The website remains comprehensive and exhibitions remain on the website beyond the exhibition dates

An exhibition book will be produced and will remain in the Verum Ultimum library to be shared with visitors for years to come.

Social media attention will be focused on this exhibition for 4 weeks.

ENTRY FEES: 
There is a $25.00 entry fee for 2 images (2 is the minimum)*
($5 for any entries over the minimum) ; presentation is by digital JPG image files. 
Details of artwork count as an additional artwork. 
Payments by credit card at time of entry through Cafe 
*minimum of 2 images to enter (additional images are optional)
 

IMAGE USE / COPYRIGHTS: 
Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. Digital images submitted with artist entry are for exhibition selection only and will be deleted after completion of the selection process. By entering the competition, artists selected to exhibit grant Verum Ultimum Gallery rights to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the gallery web site for promotional purposes only. Verum Ultimum retain no copyrights to artists work. 

NOTIFICATION: 
Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than 30 days after the deadline. Notification will be made via email. All artists who provide a working email address will be notified via email. Type your email address clearly, if a mistake is made you will not be notified. 

PRIVACY POLICY: 
Artist contact information (address, telephone, etc.) is only held for the purpose of contacting selected artists and is not preserved in any database. Entry data and image files are deleted on the completion of the jury process. 

DEADLINE: 
The entry deadline is September 12, 2023.  Entries must be submitted via Café by this date.
