Dogwood Arts Council, Inc, a non-profit corporation, is administrator of the show, is enlivening the arts in Palestine, TX and we are glad you are a participant. ArtTracks is an outdoor juried exhibit of work view-able by pedestrian and vehicular traffic installed on private property throughout downtown. Art enthusiasts from Texas area attend and we project continued growth each year with promotion and marketing.

Funding for this year period is $1200 per sculpture and the opportunity to win cash award (People's Choice) 1st place $500, 2nd place $350 and 3rd place $150.

Up to 6 artists will be selected this year for a 2 year placement Feb 2024 - 2026. Artists are encouraged to submit work for consideration even if there is a current piece in our show.

Only artists displaying their own original works are eligible to participate.

Artists are selected by the Dogwood Arts Council (DAC) board through jury process.

Committee approved Artists will be paired with a location on private property in the Downtown area. Private Property owners agree to include the piece on their property.

Open application date: September 1, 2023 Close Application date: November 30, 2023.

Jurying 1st week of December with notification by December 10th. Installation no later than Feb 15, 2024.

Notification will be by email once an artists is accepted into the sculpture show. 

Application Requirements

Submission: Artist must submit on Café a minimum of three jpeg images of each sculpture for review. Multiple entries are allowed. There is a $35 application fee for each entry application.

Images should show: Views of front,  back,   base and view of artists' choice. Additional images may be submitted . Must be submitted with this online application.

Also required is mounting description and how the sculpture needs to be installed.

Based on these images the Committee will review the artist's sculpture for exhibit and location. (All images will be retained by Dogwood Arts Council, Inc and may be used for promotion of the event.)

The Café Form will request Artist's last name, Title of Work and size of the work and contact information.  The digital image file must be in jpeg format 1 MB and no larger than 3 MB.
 

Eligibility Criteria

Art Requirement: THEME: History or Railroad is encouraged.

Seeking 6 ft plus height.   Consideration will be given for scale.

Must be appropriate for outdoor placement.

Considerations: Must be aesthetically appropriate for outdoor public placement and safe for public or privately owned outdoor locations
