Yes, we are looking for your use of fall colors in your work:

warm greens, golden yellows, orangey reds and golden browns, colors that are dense, rich and warm and earthy.

The subject of the art doesn’t have to say fall, but the colors should. 

Abstract, figurative, landscape ALL welcome.

Sculpture, fiber, painting, assemblage, collage, drawing - All media except video eligible.

Our curation and presentation of the selected work is exceptional. We promote the artists through social media, print media and through our email outreach.  We create a quality printable catalog of the show and the the online shows are archived but accessible after close of show. To create the program we download the artists' works description, title and price for the selected art from what artists submit to CaFE. When entering this information,  PLEASE be sure your art descriptions and artist statement are correct.  

O’Hanlon Center for the Arts emphasizes the creative process and the continued pursuit of meaning and authenticity through observation, exploration, and experimentation.

Each artist may submit up to 3 individual pieces of artwork for consideration into this juried show. All media welcome except video. YES photography, fiber, sculpture, digital etc. Diptychs and Triptychs are considered 1 piece of work. Diptychs and Triptychs must be submitted as one image.

The deadline for Submissions is Tuesday Oct 3 at 11 pm Pacific Time.

Artists will be notified of results by email by 5 pm Thursday Oct 12.

There will be a zoomed Roundtable art discussion to celebrate the show on Tuesday  Oct 17 at 4 pm Pacific time open to all.  Zoom link will be emailed to selected artists and available on OHCA Website.

ABOUT THE JUROR: 

Catharine Clark is the Founding Director of Catharine Clark Gallery, San Francisco. Established in 1991, the gallery exhibits the work of contemporary artists many of whom have an interdisciplinary approach to their practice. 

The Gallery has participated in numerous art fairs since 1992. Recently, they have most notably included EXPO Chicago (2023), The Armory Show (2023, 2022); UNTITLED ART Miami Beach (2021, 2019, 2018); and Paris Photo (2022, 2018, 2017, 2016).

Trained as a classical ballet dancer, and subsequently in art history at the University of Pennsylvania, Catharine performed as a company dancer for Morphè Danza Teatro in Bologna, Italy, and worked for art galleries in Philadelphia and San Francisco before opening her own gallery and performance space in 1991. Catharine is frequently invited to speak on art and has lectured at San Francisco Art Institute (where she also taught for five years); Stanford University, California College of the Arts, Mills College, San Jose State University, Sonoma State University, Harvard University, Vancouver Art Gallery, and Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, among many other colleges and universities. Catharine often adjudicates exhibitions for smaller non-profits and art venues and was a consultant for Creative Capital for several years and a reader for one of their grant cycles. The spaces at Catharine Clark Gallery, including BOXBLUR, and our newest endeavor, EXiT, were designed by Tim Campbell and are situated in a former industrial building in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood. In January the Gallery expanded from 4600 to a 9200 square foot venue to increase audiences for BOXBLUR programs, exhibition space for artists, and for EXiT, a new jewel-box art boutique and bookstore.

 In 2016 Catharine founded BOXBLUR for the production and presentation of projects that engage visual and performing artist’s work in dialogue. BOXBLUR emerged from a history of performances at Catharine Clark Gallery

Catharine has edited and contributed forwards and essays to publications on Masami Teraoka, Nina Katchadourian, and Sandow Birk, among other artists: Floating Realities: The Art of Masami Teraoka published by California State University, Fullerton, 2018; American Qur’an by Sandow Birk, published by Norton, 2015; Sorted Books by Nina Katchadourian, published by Chronicle Books, 2013; Ascending Chaos: The Art of Masami Teraoka 1966-2006, also published by Chronicle Books, 2006. In 2023, Catharine Clark Gallery was invited to join the ADAA (Art Dealers Association of America). Clark is also member of the programming committee for the San Francisco Advocacy for the National Museum of Women in the Arts and served as a trustee for the organization in its first year (2018). She has also served on the advisory boards of San Francisco Arts Education Project, and as a trustee for ZER01, Recology, and SF Camerawork. The Gallery has been a member of the San Francisco Art Dealers Association since 1995. In 2014, Mayor Ed Lee awarded Catharine Arttable’s Northern California Chapter Award of Service to the Visual Arts, and in 2017, she was recognized by Access Institute for her dedication to the arts and advocacy for mental health.
