Call Description
Terra / Earth / Ground
Earth: Sol III, Terra, Tellus, Gaia, Mother Earth, the world upon which we dwell, the soil under our feet or the dirt sprinkled ceremoniously on top of our coffins by a grieving loved one. How do you relate to the earth and the resources of this planet? Is it the color of the soil, the gardens that grow, the places of profound beauty or the roads you travel that speak to you? Or is it the spinning of the globe, of orbits and stars that take you to the cosmos to peer down on this big blue marble? Is it the color of paint or a clay tablet that is inscribed with words of ancient wisdom? Is it the worker who digs the soil or the potter that sits at her wheel making the earth yield under their pressure?
What is your involvement with “EARTH”?. Depictions in all disciplines (except video) are acceptable.
Core New Art Space invites all artists of any mediums, 2d & 3d (except video/installations). Entries must be submitted electronically by January 2nd, 2024 and accompanied by a $35.00 fee (for up to 3 works).
