Jury Statement:

In the spirit of the Hudson River School of art tradition, the HVAA Annual Exhibition jurors are looking for submissions which are original representational images that display aesthetic appeal and technical skill.  You are welcome to view previously accepted artworks from our 2023 exhibition here

 

2024 Calendar

Call for Entries - January 15th, 2024

Deadline For Entry- March 25th 2024  

Notification to Artists - Monday- April 15, 2024 

Receiving Days - Fri/Sat/Sun May 31-June 2, 2024 -10am.-5pm.

Shipped artwork must arrive to LAA between- May 24-31, 2024

Show Opens to the public. Saturday June 7- July 18, 2024

Awards Reception (subject to change) June 15, 2024 5:30-7:30. 

Show ends - Thursday July 18 

Removal of Work-  Fri/Sat/Sun July 19-21, 2024, 10am. - 5pm. 2024


ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

ENTRY FEE:

• Members:Entry fee is included with paid dues $35. One or two entries (submit in ONLY one media).
To see if you're a member go to HVAA website.
Also please pay dues on line.

• Non-members:$60 for one or two entries in one category.

Application Requirements

  • Artist may enter up to two recent works not previously exhibited with HVAA.
  • Only one work per artist can be included in the exhibition.
  • Work must be original Oil (Acrylic/ Tempera), Watercolor, Sculpture, Pastel or Graphic (drawing, intaglio, lithograph, or woodcut print).No forms of distorted artwork.
  • Size of framed artwork not to exceed 48” in either direction. (If larger will be disqualified)
  • No photographic, computer-assisted images, or collage accepted. No prints or photo copies of original art.
  • Artwork must remain till end of show
  • Sales 70% to artists and a percentage of sale price to the HVAA Scholarship Fund.
  • HVAA is not responsible for lost or damaged artwork.
     

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to all artists 18 years of age and over, living in the United States.
