The annual juried All Media exhibition showcases artwork from regional and national artists ages 18 and older who work across multiple visual artistic mediums. This year marks All Media's 40th anniversary of showcasing innovative, compelling, and forward-thinking works of contemporary art juried by a roster of distinguished artists, curators, critics, writers, and arts professionals. 

Awards: 

Monetary awards, selected by guest jurors, will be given to six artists for outstanding entries:

  • First place: $600
  • Second place: $400
  • Third place: $300
  • Three honorable mentions: $150 each

Important dates:

  • Application deadline: April 30, 10:55 p.m. Pacific Time
  • Artwork delivery: June 10-15
  • Exhibition dates: July 6–September 28
  • Notifications sent: May 25
  • Loan agreements for accepted artwork due: Friday, June 7 (no artworks will be exhibited without a loan agreement)
  • Artwork pick-up: October 7-12

Information below pertains to selected artists only.

Presentation:

  • Work over 60 lbs. must be handled by the artist during installation and removal.
  • Artists are responsible for providing all special or unique presentation components.
  • Compromised craftsmanship, precarious display presentation, or changes from original submission may be grounds for the removal of an artwork from the exhibition.

Artwork delivery and pick up:

  • Drop-off dates are June 10-15, unless other arrangements have been agreed to in advance. 
  • Shipped entries must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 15, packaged in a reusable container for return. The City of Irvine/Irvine Fine Arts Center will not reimburse shipping fees or insurance. 
  • Shipping costs and insurance are the responsibility of the artist. Shipped artwork must be accompanied by a pre-paid return shipping label.
  • Artworks will be available for pick-up October 7–12. Shipped work will be returned in the prepaid package provided by the artist.

Liability:

  • Every reasonable precaution will be taken to ensure protection and careful handling for all artworks.
  • Irvine Fine Arts Center assumes no insurance liability for damage, theft, or other loss occurred during the delivery or pick up of any artwork; insurance coverage applies only within the duration of the exhibition.

Sales:

  • Irvine Fine Arts Center will retain 25% commission on any work sold during the exhibition.
  • Artists are under no obligation to list their work for sale; however, a declared value is necessary to list on the loan agreement for insurance, even if an artwork is not for sale.

Application Requirements

Fees:

  • $20 for one entry.
  • Each additional entry is $12. Maximum six entries total per artist.

Agreement:

  • Submissions are nonrefundable regardless of final jurying decisions. All entries must be submitted through CAFÉ. Prior to submission, please review your entry file for correct formatting and submission type. Irvine Fine Arts Center will not reimburse applicants who submit incorrect files in their application.

Artists:

This exhibition is open to all visual artists residing in Southern California and the continental United States ages 18 and older. All entries must be original and not shown previously at the Irvine Fine Arts Center.
