The Village Theatre and Art Gallery is hosting it’s 14th annual juried exhibit. The theme is Botanica and submissions will be open on March 4 and closed on May 3. There is a $30 fee for entry. 

The Town is seeking artists to submit original artwork that depicts all things floral and plant-based. Think: flowers, roots, leaves, trees, succulents, etc. We want to see how you incorporate the world around us into your artwork. From the graceful dance of a tulip to the regal presence of a rose, let your imagination bloom as you capture the essence of flowers in their many forms.

This exhibit will be up and on view from July 13 to September 20 with an opening reception on July 13. If accepted into the exhibit, artists will be notified by May 17 and artwork will need to arrive by the week of July 1.

Mediums accepted: faux flower/plant arrangements, multimedia, sculpture, acrylic, ceramic, charcoal, color pencil, collage, digital art, oil painting, pastel, photography, watercolor.

Application Requirements

• Artist may submit up to three pieces of work for a fee of $30.
• Include artist full name, email, phone.
• For artist reference: the gallery is 1000 square feet.

Eligibility Criteria

• Fees must be paid at the time of submission.
• Applicants must be of 18 years of age.
• Open to all artists residing in the Bay Area. Counties: San Francisco, Marin, Santa Clara, San Benito, Solano, Sonoma, Napa, Santa Cruz, Contra Costa, Alameda and San Mateo.
