About this exhibition:
Jerry McLaughlin and Rebecca Crowell, co-founders of Cold Wax Academy, announce Cold Wax International: A Juried Exhibition, the first international online exhibition dedicated to showcasing the breadth of ways artists work with cold wax medium. They invite you to submit 2D or 3D work in any stylistic approach from pure abstraction to realism that involves the use of cold wax.

Selected artworks will be showcased for two months on the Cold Wax Academy website. Cold Wax Academy and its marketing team will promote the exhibition to an international audience of over 15,000 subscribers through email, Instagram and Facebook.

Prizes totaling more than $750 will be awarded. 1st Place - $400, 2nd Place - $250, 3rd Place - $100, 3 Honorable Mentions - membership or gift certificates.

Juror: Dan Addington, artist and owner of Addington Gallery, Chicago, Illinois. https://www.danaddington.com/art/webbio.html

In addition to jurying the show, on July 10, at 11am ET (NYC), Dan will join us for  a LIVE Session in our Cold Wax Academy Community Group. The session is FREE, and everyone is invited. During the session Dan will discuss the jurying process and discuss select works. This is a rare and valuable opportunity for entrants in a juried show to better understand the jury process as well as the thoughts and approaches of the juror.

About Cold Wax Academy:
Cold Wax Academy was founded in 2020 as an online membership program to support and inform artists using cold wax medium. It has now grown to an exciting international community of artists working in many styles and formats with the medium. Over 115 live sessions have been recorded and are available to members. These sessions go beyond technique and cover a wide range of topics of interest to painters in any medium, including deep explorations of all the visual elements and principles of design, a range of mentoring topics, and other aspects of art practice. Sessions also include guest artists and authors, painting clinics, and critiques. Memberships are available on a month to month basis. Please go to www.coldwaxacademy.com/memberships for more information.
