Our Background:

Helm & Oar was founded by artist and entrepreneur, Brent Blossom from Laguna Beach, California. Since launch of the gallery in June of 2022, Helm & Oar has grown to be named among the top online art galleries in the country with thousands of collectors. We've been running aggressive traffic-generating campaigns and driving over 40,000 unique visitors to the gallery every month. 

Our Gallery Model:

We host your digital files within our database and send to print and framing production when your art sells. Helm & Oar fulfills all orders through it's print-on-demand fine art manufacturers based in Portland, Los Angeles, Austin and Miami and we cover the cost of production and fulfillment fully.  

The artist retains full rights to their own work. Helm + Oar sends a license agreement that allows Helm + Oar to sell the artist's work non-exclusively online.

The Call:

We have opened our gallery to new artists who's work we deem exceptionally fitting for our gallery as a whole and work that caters to our very concentrated consumer demand. We are prepared to accept several new artists into our gallery and into our growing family.

Timeline:

Are are going to keep this call open until (November 1, 2024) however we are looking to onboard new artists well before our holiday sales rush begins so please apply well before that deadline to be onboarded into our gallery in time.

Benefits:

Helm & Oar pays our artists a fair commission of 20% from every sale. Our artists are generating $2,000-$10,000/mo in passive revenue from the sales of their work. Helm + Oar, on our own dime, spends over $20,000 each month on advertising our artists and we take care of everything post-sale (including costs associated) for print production, framing, shipping and fulfillment. Our artists hold zero responsibility to our customers for fulfilling their orders. 

This is 100% passive income for the artist.

All resident artists receive access to our payout portal to track your sales and commissions in real-time and request commission payouts monthly.  

Entry Fees: 

Application fee is $50 and includes up to 20 images in total. This fee helps offset the administrative costs of reviewing and onboarding new artists into our gallery as it also weeds out all those who shouldn't be applying.

Application Requirements

Photographers should submit 5-20 images along with a brief description of each image.

You must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
