PROJECT SUMMARY
Images of artwork will be printed on vinyl wraps for the traffic box covers to beautify otherwise run-down or bland looking areas in the public right-of way and contribute toward civic pride, enhance the pedestrian experience and become creative landmarks. Through this call, images from 4-7 local artists will be selected.
COMPENSATION
Selected artists will enter into a contract with the Town of Jackson agreeing to a seven-year usage fee for a stipend of $500. Artists retain the copyrights to their artwork.

The Town of Jackson reserves the right to limit the number of accepted applications and to review only artists who have the qualifications and experience level outlined. The Town of Jackson reserves the right to re-issue this call and/or alter the selection panel or recommend non-funding.
Application Requirements
SUBMISSION PROCESS
- Applicants will submit 3-5 images via CallForEntry.org.
- Only submit images for which you have high resolution files (ideally 300dpi).
- If the production company reviews the high-resolution images and finds that they do not meet quality standards, artists will be given 24 hours to rectify the situation and if a replacement image cannot be created, we will go to an alternate artist.
2. One Page Letter of Interest that articulates your interest in this project in particular. Describe your work and how your past experience relates to this project. Please limit the letter to 500 words or one page, whichever is less. (optional)
SELECTION PROCESS & CRITERIA
The Town of Jackson’s Public Art Task Force will review images and select one artist for each utility box.
The Town of Jackson seeks high-resolution images of original works, created by local artists, that convey the theme of “home” in a positive manner.
- Only files that meet the technical specifications listed will be considered.
- Images that exemplify our quality of life in Jackson Hole.
- Images that positively depict the people, places, flora and fauna of Jackson Hole.
- Artistic merit, originality, and creativity.
- Appropriateness of scale and subject matter.
- Ability to appeal to a diverse audience.
The Town of Jackson reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to accept the proposal deemed to be in our best interest. The Town of Jackson is an equal opportunity employer.

Local artists living and working in Teton County or who commute from surrounding communities are invited to apply (Victor, Driggs, Alpine, Pinedale, Wind River Reservation).
