About the Call

"Visual Language of Modernity" is visioned to be a resourceful group exhibition showcasing contemporary artworks by international artists. We expected the artworks providing unique lens at the complexities and modernity of multi-cultural background and the identity in globalization and diaspora. The exhibition is seeking for a wide range of art forms with traditional and new medias, from traditional techniques to digital work and installation art. We vision this exhibition to reflect the multi-aspects of modern creation.

In collaboration with Whosmuseum and Sasse Museum of Art, the “Visual Language of Modernity” juried exhibition is calling for all talented artists to participate! The show will be take place in Sasse Museum of Art located in the diverse-cultural Downtown Pomona Arts Colony at 300 S. Thomas St., Pomona.This juried group exhibition will run from February 1st to February 22nd, 2025. We encourage our audience from the local art community and world-wide art lovers to experience this dynamic exploration of the art, culture, and aesthetic presentations within multi-cultural artists’ community through their artistic languages integrated with innovation and modernity.

 

Application Requirements

We welcome submissions in all forms of art. When submitting your artwork, please include the following:

  1. Provide the title, medium, dimensions, and year of creation for each piece.
  2. Describe how you envision your work being displayed (e.g., wall-mounted, on a pedestal, interactive, etc.). Additionally, all submitted artworks must be in a finished state, ready for display.
  3. Note any specific needs or conditions for displaying your artwork (e.g., lighting requirements, installation instructions, equipment, etc.).
  4. All selected artists must ensure that their chosen works are either shipped or personally delivered to the exhibition's receiving address in Los Angeles within the specified timeframe. After the exhibition ends, artists are required to retrieve their works within the designated period. The exhibition organizers will not be responsible for any consequences resulting from late delivery or pickup. Specific details will be provided to the selected artists after the jurying process.
