Are you an artist living or working in Hood County, TX? If so, we have exciting news for you! GranburyArts, the Granbury Cultural Arts Commission, is currently inviting local artists to submit images of their original artwork for potential selection in a catalog of art. This catalog will serve as a resource for various public art projects in our community, including utility box wraps, mosaic windows, murals, sculptures, and other visual arts in public buildings and parks.

We encourage you to apply and showcase your talent. We welcome a broad range of media for the catalog, including paintings, photo­graphy, collages, sculptures, mosaics, and more. This is an incredible opportunity to have your artwork featured in public spaces and contribute to the artistic vibrancy of our city.

• Granbury Opera House windows artwork (will be converted to mosaic)
• Out of the Box - Utility box wrapping program
• Murals
• Granbury Regional Airport Terminal Lobby

Application Requirements

Applicant must live or work as an artist in Hood County, Texas.

Eligibility Criteria

Images that may be submitted for consideration may include:

• Artwork submitted must reflect the natural beauty, history, and spirit of Granbury.
• Digital version of existing artwork provided by the artist who owns the copyright and or, the artwork is not on display permanently in a public location within the City of Granbury.
  • Artwork that is created digitally (photographs, etc.)
• Selected artwork should be scalable to the different sized projects including vertical and horizontal shapes. Due to the different sized projects some cropping may occur.
• We are seeking images that people will positively connect with emotionally and will draw people passing by on foot, bicycle or in a vehicle.
• Imagery needs to be detailed enough to prevent temptation to graffiti.
• Artwork must be of original design and personal execution.
• Entries must be original art in any form of media.
• Artist must be 18 years of age or older.

Images that will not be considered:

• No advertising, branding, or commercial images allowed.
• Artwork cannot include logos, advertising, photographs of people, or any wording.
• Artwork that includes any breach of intellectual property, trademarks, brands, or any images of illegal activity.
