Gallery of Hermosa Invites All Artists!

The Gallery of Hermosa is excited to announce an open call for artists that have a connection to the Los Angeles area to participate in our upcoming juried exhibition, "I Love L.A." We're seeking original 2D artwork that celebrates and captures the essence of Los Angeles. Whether it's the iconic landmarks, the vibrant culture, the diverse communities, or the breathtaking beaches and landscapes, we want to showcase what makes L.A. special through the eyes of talented artists everywhere! 

About the Exhibition:

"I Love L.A." is a celebration of all things Los Angeles. As one of the most dynamic and culturally rich cities in the world, L.A. serves as an endless source of inspiration for artists. This exhibition aims to highlight the unique perspectives and interpretations of artists, offering viewers a chance to experience the essence of L.A. through art.

Submission Guidelines (more details in the Rules & Terms)

  • Open to All Artists who have a connection to Los Angeles.
  • Submit Original 2D artwork that conveys a connection to the L.A. area. This can include but is not limited to paintings, drawings, prints, mixed media, and photography. Original artwork only - no reproductions or giclees.
  • Artwork must be ready for display (framed or gallery wrapped with wire for hanging).
  • Each artist may submit up to three artworks for consideration.
  • Artwork must be available for sale.
  • Please include a brief artist statement or bio along with your submission. Your artist statement will be considered during the selection process.

Jurors - A panel of jurors will curate the final art pieces for the exhibit.

If you are chosen for the gallery exhibition, details will be provided via email on sending/delivering your work to the gallery.
 

Application Requirements

Artists may submit up to 3 images for the non-refundable entry fee of $25 for the first image and $5 for each additional image. Detail shots count toward the image total.

All accepted artwork will be offered for sale during this exhibition at our gallery and/or online on our gallery website. Please include the selling price in your CaFE account portfolio/artwork image details. 

Artists please include a short Artist’s Bio and Statement and brief description (up to 300 characters) for each artwork.
