Eligibility & Requirements

North American artists residing in the United States 18 years and older are eligible to enter. Work must have been completed within the last three years. •      No student work, or work created as the result of a class or workshop will be accepted.

•      The quilt must be predominately fabric or fabric-like material and be composed of at least three layers held together by stitching.

•      2-D quilts must have a three-inch (8 cm) or greater finished double casing (sleeve) sewn in the top edge of the quilt, leaving approximately 1” on either side for the hanging slat to be affixed to the wall. If possible, please include your own hanging slat. The Webber Gallery may supply one, if it is not possible to include. (If you do not supply your own slat, please contact the gallery prior to shipping, and make note of the casing size and the appropriate size for the slat.) There are no small or large size limitations.

•      3-D, free standing “quilt sculptures” are encouraged but must be identified as such in the entry description. There are limited pedestals and the maximum size the plexiglas cases can accommodate is 29” x 29” x 29”.

•      Entries must include a short description of techniques and materials used in the construction of the quilt (1000 character limit). Artists must also include a short statement (1000 character limit) about the artwork (artist’s name excluded) which, if selected for the exhibition, will be included in the wall text for each work. This information will be entered in the Form Questions portion of the application.

 Agreement

Filing of the entry form constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant to all conditions set forth in the prospectus, including permission to use images of the exhibited work in print or on-line media for promotional, and educational or archival purposes.

•    Accepted artwork may ultimately be refused at the Webber Gallery’s discretion if unable to install or hang properly, or if art varies greatly from the submission image.
