E L I G I B I L I T Y
The competition is open to photographers 18 years of age or older, excluding members of fotofoto
gallery. Image capture must have been made with the camera on your phone. Any phone!

 NOTE: No images created using Artificial Intelligence will  be accepted

All submitted images must not have been exhibited at fotofoto gallery before.

FOR ACCEPTED ENTRIES
Approximately 30 photographs will be chosen for a four-week exhibition in August / September 2024. Upon completion of the jury process, images will be printed by fotofoto gallery.  No need for you to print, frame or ship your work. The exhibition will be installed salon-style in our beautiful gallery space


ABOUT FOTOFOTO GALLERY
fotofoto gallery, formed in 2003, is the oldest fine art photography gallery on Long Island. The
photography collective exhibits photographers with independent vision, focus and purpose and is
dedicated to encouraging and promoting the artistic development of its members and the greater
photographic community. Located in the heart of Huntington, NY, fotofoto gallery hosts an extensive
calendar of members' solo and group exhibitions, workshops, salons, special events and competitions
including Pop-up Shows, Your Best Shot, Phone-ography, Invitationals and National Open-Photography
Competitions and Exhibitions. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.


ABOUT THE JUROR
Andreas Rentsch received a B.F.A. from Les Ecoles d’Arts Appliqués in Vevey, Switzerland, and an M.F.A. in Studio Art from Stony Brook University.

His work has been exhibited worldwide, including a solo exhibition at the Musée de l’Elysée in Switzerland, and is in many museum collections such as the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, the Musée de l’Elysée in Switzerland, the Musée de la Photographie in Charleroi, Belgium, the Museet for Fotokunst in Odense, Denmark, the Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington, NY, the Swiss Foundation of Photography, and the Polaroid Collection. He is a recipient of two New York Foundation for the Arts fellowships and two grants from the Polaroid Corporation. The photography magazine Aperture published one of his portfolios. In addition, numerous books and magazines have published his work, including “The Polaroid Project,” a book published as part of a world-wide nine-museum exhibition of artists who have used Polaroid film in their work. He taught at the International Center of Photography, Stony Brook University and St. John's University. He is currently an Associate Professor of Photography at Lycoming College and the Chair of the Art Department.


FEES AND DEADLINES
FEES: 5 images - $40. Images 6 -15 may be submitted for an additional charge of $5 per image.


DEADLINES: Submission Deadline: August 8, 2024, midnight (standard mountain time)

Notification of Acceptance:  August 15, 2024 by email
Exhibition Dates:                 August 22 – September 14, 2024

Application Requirements

All entries must be submitted via the CaFE system. Mail-in entries will not be considered.
Images must be 2048 pixels on the long side and conform to CaFE formatting standards. Instructions can be found in the CaFE help
section.
There is no theme for this show - just send us your finest phone images.
Apply apps, edit on your computer or just send the capture from your camera roll.
